We'd have had Toni Kroos in our midfield if he had stayed, he wasn't the right man for the job, but ultimately none of our managers have been.

Big shame the likes of Thiago too was agreed after Fergie left but Moyes stopped the signing, and the backroom clear out was the worst mistake Moyes made. He fecked up before he even sat down in his office.

To think that was a year to the day since we last won the title.

it’s incredibly depressing that we’re still awful a decade later. I thought that we’d be bad after Fergie left, but not this bad.

I don't disagree, but despite having a 0.1% chance of happening, it is still mathematically possible right now, though the 3 teams above us would have to bomb spectacularly, and we'd have to win pretty much every remaining game, none of which will happen.

It was equally as unrealistic prior to the game that got Moyes sacked too.
