2 days in Manchester?

I have two days in Manchester on my own and am wondering whats the best way to spend the time. Have my ticket for the Man Utd vs Watford game but my mate has cancelled on me and now I have to go on my own.

Been over a good few times but we normally just go to the pub so now i see this as a chance to see a little more. (Also drinking on my own gives the wrong impression ;) )

So any Ideas on the best way to spend the time. Tomorrow and Thursday.

Trust me its in the top 3, but just wondering if anyone else has had to spend a couple of days what would they do or if they have already - then what do they recomend?
 
mate, stay clear of most areas of Salford to the West of the city, Moss Side to the South, Cheetham Hill to the North and Ancoats/Miles Platting to the North East, aside from that, you'll be right pal.
Thousands of bars to choose from, plenty on Deansgate and down Studentland in the southern end, go have a look at the Traford Centre, aside from that there's feck all else to do but drink

Cheers mate, yeah have been over a few times and normally end up in Deansgate or Printworks. Nice one for the full list of where NOT to go ;)

Looks like 2 days of beer + a little shopping out at the trafford centre.

I know ya did,.....just dont think it will be great to spend 2 days in there! Man I'd be buying all sorts of stuff.

But will definitly make a trip there as I always do and buy myself something that i do not need, but want anyway!
