Is this the first time that Barmby is playing for our U-18's or has he played before?
He played against Blackburn at the end of last season. Quite a big lad for his age.
Weds hit the bar early on with a great shot from the edge of the area.
Edit: It's a fairly flexible midfield 3, taking turns to support Cofie, with Lingard on the left and Barmby on the right.
Cofie looking lively, nearly through once and just put a half chance over. Hussain playing some incisive through balls. Quite a good game so far.
Both of the younger players acquitting themselves well, the game has become a little scrappy though and few chances of late.
Is this first time Blackett and Barmby have started for the academy?
Alot of frustration out there now. More and more negative tactics these days at academy level. worrying

It's livened up a bit the last few minutes as Weds seem to have tired. Hopefully we can nick one before the end.

Judging by the comments from earlier on in this thread, I'm guessing finding highlights to extend was a bit of a challenge?
It wasn't easy on the eye to say the least. Thought Blackett and Barmby gave a promising account of themselves stepping up to this level.
Reading PS18's blog, it's amazing just how many players we have out, literally an entire team injured or on international duty.
