Switzerland is a sailing nation now! <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" /> ! I'd like the next America's Cup to be hosted on the lake of Lucerne, but no - they want to go to the Mediterranean.

It did make me chuckle when I heard that Switzerland won the Americas cup!

Nice if they did have it on the Mediterranean... our govt, plus a couple of sponsors have put up the money for a NZ challenge over there...

The race should be held on a real ocean, not the Mediterranean. Perhaps off of La Coruna or Lisbon.

The North Sea or Baltic Sea are quite decent and friendly during the winter.., and closer to home for the swiss. They get another element into the competetion as well,looking out for Russian oil tankers, so they don't get run over.
