Handful of appearances, not overly impressive, committed an utterly ridiculous challenge in one game and got banned for 7 matches. Same as when he was here really.
Plus regular injuries. Classic Bailly.

He needs to give up football and start starring in kung fu movies. He'd make a great action star, I bet.

There’s a brilliant defender in there…. Just a bit of a liability injured mad man too.

Hope we get a few million for him still and wages off the books.

That’s his proposed wages over 3 years. No mention of fee yet.
That makes more sense.

I was prepared for the likes of him and Telles and Martial to hang around the club for another year contributing nothing and then go on a free next summer. So to get any sort of fee for them whilst getting them off the books would be a huge bonus.

Any fee we get for him is a bonus. We just want him off the wage bill. He’s a complete write off as a player for this club. Disastrous transfer. If we can get between 3 and 5 million for him, and remove his 100k per week from the wage bill, it’ll be brilliant.

Just shifting on De Gea, and getting Onana in on half the money, and moving on Telles, Jones, Tuanzebe, and Bailly, is shifting some deadwood that was just a complete drain on finances. That’s probably half a million a week saved; the majority from players that contributed zero.

If we can shift on Maguire, VdB, McTominay and Fred. We’ll save tons in wages too, for players who would be fringe this year. They could be completely covered by bringing in Amrabat (20m), Hojlund (50-60m), and we’ll need a young Center half to be 4th choice. But by god, the squad will be so much better, and so much negative drain removed from payroll.

Alabama but always Wales in my heart
He wants to be given a free transfer so he can net a big signing bonus from a new club and get a 700k payoff from United. I would probably pay it to be rid of him, but it just proves that behind all of the cult hero Eric Bailly nonsense that some spout on here is a mercenary scumbag who doesn't give a shit about the club.

So we’ll pay him millions in wages to and never play him, to not pay 700k?
It's to stop the trend of players demanding their salary difference of old and new contract paid out for them to move.

Either they take the transfer without getting paid extra by us, find a loan club willing to cover wages, or spend the next season at the outskirts of the squad.

Yeah, I'm eager to see the department of players like Bailly. But if we're actually going to 'get better at selling players' then we really need to actually sell them, for a comparatively decent fee - not pay them to leave.

Paying them to stick around and not play - Maguire, Bailly, Williams, DVB, etc - isn't the way forward either, obviously. But we can't start creating a culture of paying people to leave. We really need to improve on our ability to actually cash in on unwanted players.

The biggest issue with our selling, is our high salaries and general quality and performance of the players we are selling.

Yeah, that's very true.

Selling unwanted, underperforming players who are on high wages doesn't put us in a good position - and the high wages mean the only teams who could afford them are probably the level of club who don't want our cast offs.
