Andrew Flintoff says England will need to go to Pakistan with the same intensity that helped them regain the Ashes from Australia this summer.
"The series will be as tough as the Ashes," said Flintoff, who is in Dubai to raise funds for earthquake victims.

"Conditions in Pakistan will be totally different from England and playing there will be quite a challenge.

England leave for Pakistan on Tuesday but Flintoff will join them a week late after taking part in the Super Series.

Flintoff was hit on the shoulder by Pakistan's Shoaib Akhtar during a World XI practice before the Super Test.

"I already have a taste of what to expect in Pakistan," said Flintoff. "It was the very first ball I faced from Shoaib."

Flintoff, who shared the international cricketer of the year award with South Africa's Jacques Kallis, will be visiting Pakistan for the third time.

"The environment is superb and there is so much enthusiasm about the game. You can see so many kids playing in the streets."

"Pakistan have some quality spinners but then don't forget we have been playing really well for the last two years."

England are scheduled to play three Tests and five one-day internationals in Pakistan, with the first Test beginning in Multan on 12 November.
