Is this still a thing? Thought people knew it's just a big scam to make big companies more money and everyone else poorer.
Everybody knows that carbon can be pushed out of the planet using giant fans, because the earth is flat.

Scrap International Football, that'll reduce the footprint considerably with less flights all over the world for pointless friendlies and tournaments.

Football & climate: Which EFL clubs are the most sustainable?

@NicolaSacco sort it out mate
Feck!

We talk the talk, too, when it comes to environmental stuff. It seems that we absolutely do not walk the walk though.

I’d like to blame the geography of being in a rural area without many teams nearby, but Norwich are 3rd in that table, so we don’t even have that!

I have a feeling the answer to "how can football reduce its carbon footprint" will be "the super rich don't have to change any of their behaviour even though they create more emissions than everyone else combined, but fans are told to walk to the stadium and not eat a burger at half time"

Teams at Euro 2024 will be expected to travel to group-stage matches by coach or train instead of flying, to reduce their carbon impact.

European football governing body Uefa says it wants next summer's tournament in Germany to be "the most sustainable European Championship of all time".

Group games have been regionalised to favour travel by land.

Fans will also be offered discounted long-distance train tickets and free access to local public transport.
Teams will still pick the most convenient way for them to travel which is flying as cost isn't prohibitive

How about sell all our players to the Saudi League and just watch every game on tv with zero travel... oh wait..
