Jack Wilshere

Wouldn't mind him under Mourinho and in his rarely injury crippled squad for a season to see if he can reborn at another club. He's an annoying asshole but there's some quality in there.

This is the right decision for club and player. He is quite far down their pecking order now, and he's already missed so much football through injury.

West Ham seems quite a good bet, seeing as he'd be able to stay in London and they are capable of playing the sort of football that would suit him.

My initial thought was Everton, but Arsenal may look at them as a threat to their top four hopes. I guess you could say the same about West Ham.

I think Arsenal will sell him eventually.

Bournemouth or Palace.......he can do great things at a lower club...very injury prone though so might end up being one of those 'what might have beens'

Trouble is Wenger sees everyone in the top 6 as a 'threat' and Wilshire wouldn't want to go too far down the table to keep his England place.

He was so highly rated. Injuries have really messed up his career

I agree.

It's tough to see where Wilshere goes in the PL without dropping to too lowly a team. I know he's a crock, but he's definitely too good to be messing around with a club outside the top six.

Southampton is another potential option, I guess.

I think he would end up being the best partner for Xhaka if only he can remain fit. IMO he still remains our most talented CM on our books, he just needs to have some continuity in his career.

As long as he battles injuries, he'll have a place on any PL squad because he simply cannot be relied upon to even play. You can be as talented, but eventually your talent has to be on show week in week out. Cazorla has always been and will be a better center mid than Wishere.

He'd do well in just about any side in the PL.. if fit, it's a shame what injuries have done to him, he was probably the most talented Englishman of his generation.

Southampton are a good shout but I really can't see him leaving London, he seems the type to enjoy that lifestyle! Crystal Palace or West Ham, the former maybe being a little too low in the table for Wilshire?

Do you think that pairing would provide an adequate amount of defensive cover?

Must admit to not watching Xhaka a great deal, but he doesn't strike me as a holding player, and Wilshere certainly doesn't fit that role.

Wilshere is in a very similar position to Sturridge at Liverpool - the talent isn't in dispute, but you simply cannot build with a player with such a poor fitness record.

Unless Palace seriously sort their act out they will be battling at the lower end of the table this season. Their 2016 form has been absolutely dire.

West Ham would be a good move, but as mentioned a few moments ago, they may be considered as a threat to the top four - people may forget, but they were right in the mix at the end of last season. I think this will be in Wenger's mind when considering who Wilshere can go to.

Oh yeah...well that's settled then, Wilshire is staying at Arsenal!

Given West Ham's injury list that's the last place he wants to go. He wants to go somewhere that has very few injuries in the squad to see if a different set of medical staff can keep him injury free

I've just taken a look at the league table and if he wants to go to a good side, his options seem limited if we assume Wenger won't want to strengthen teams that could challenge for top four. He could go abroad, like Hart.

Wenger would be foolish to let Wilshere go imo even on loan as to compete consistently at the top teams need to use their squad to rotate or cover for injuries.

If Wilshere stays fit I can see him starting for us because he has all the tools needed to be a top central midfielder.

I think Xhaka is a holding midfielder in the Alonso role, so he will need someone tenacious that can drive the ball forward next to him - Ramsey or Wilshere fit the bill here. Whether that duo will be able to hold-up against the best teams is yet to be seen, but out of our current options I think Wilshere would be the best IF he was playing to his potential.

Can't help but think Ramsey would be somewhat wasted playing in a deeper role.

Which clubs do you think have a realistic chance of getting Wilshere on loan?

I can see him going to West Ham, the owners are falling over themselves to get a star signing - what better than a west ham fan?

Personally though, I think it would be a joke signing. Their transfers this season don't make any sense. Tore and Feghouli both right wingers, with an in form Antonio begging to play there. Kouyate would play as a 10 if Wilshere signs, pushing Payet left and Ayew to the bench?

Yeah despite his injury problems you'd much rather have him in the squad then El Neny the crab. But if Wilshere is pushing for the loan Wenger might feel he has to allow him to go.

I still think Wilshere has it in him to hit the heights of a Gerrard/Lampard, if not a Scholes, I think he a lot of ability and is a fairly unique English footballer.

If he goes on loan, it'll give Arsenal fans an opportunity to hate the little scrote too.

Can't see him going to another PL club on loan. Too good for most clubs, unattainable for the rest.

Did Gerrard and lampard not hit Scholes's heights?

Stoke is perfect for him. Hughes is still trying to change the ethos and Jack can help do that.. Surrounded by some decent attackers.

Ramsey at his best was playing CM, tackling and playing the high-pressure game. After about 6 months of good form he hit that purple-patch scoring wise, so he combined his all-action tackling and relentless running with some truly spectacular goals (that volley in Turkey in particular... just wow) and dribbles. Though that crazy scoring streak has run dry he can still pull his finger out and recapture his tackling and ball-winning form back.
