Quick poll, what's worse? Child pornography or not paying north of £100 for multiple subscriptions just to watch some football?

Someone check this man's search history...

These people won't be happy until the average person is priced out, and maybe then they'll realise that football is nothing without the fans.

Javier Tebas: "If you search for 'I want to buy cocaine' or 'kids sex' on Google you don't get results, but if you search 'free football' you do."

It's like those "Piracy. It's a crime" adverts, but possible the worst examples that have ever been used for anything. Ever.

“So Javier, you want search engines to stop listing results for free football streams?”

“What? No. I want results for those other searches.”

I swear Spanish football officials have never once in their life asked themselves, if what they are about to say, might be the most stupid shit anyone ever said.

For just La Liga? That’s insane.
There are several packs. That's with Champions I think. They have been moderating the prices because they lose subscribers every month.
The problem is the monopoly of Movistar, the company that also offers telephone rates. Bars that want to broadcast have to pay a lot too

My parents are cancelling their sky subscription come may/june. They are paying 90 euros a month and thats on an offer - without that it would be 120 or thereabouts.

The father just wants the rugby so I will set up a now tv account for him.

That man is a disgrace of a human being. To think that he’s the highest paid top league director in Europe. La Liga is phecked.

It might not be coming from Google, but ol’ Javier seems perfectly capable of getting his hands on cocaine.

You wouldn't steal cocaine
You wouldn't steal child pornography

Watching football for free. It's a crime.

That's an absolutely insane quote. The whole subscription model needs to be ripped up. The idea behind that the current one was to improve competition between providers and they've well and truly fecked that up.

If you could watch all the games for a reasonable price, people generally wouldn't resort to illegal means.

That was an insane thing to say

As for prices, it actually makes sense. League is unlikely to attract more tv subscriptions regardless, and the ones that do currently subscribe are likely to keep doing it even if the price goes up, so long as it's not excessive

The majority of spanish people just don't want pay tv. It's the same thing in Italy

The reality is culturally in those countries people don't care to watch their league, they only care to watch their team
