Colombian 25 y/o CB who has been a mainstay for overachieving Bologna this year. I’ve never seen the lad play but have come across his name before and seems to align with many of the attributes we should be looking for in a CB this summer.
- Seems fast, strong and 6ft 2
- Left footed so can back up Licha
- Comfortable on the ball 94th percentile for pass completion
- Progressive on the ball 94th percentile for progressive carries
- Shouldn’t be crazy expensive like many other targets
I wonder if we’ve been scouting Zirkzee at Bologna and picked up on Lucumí in the process, or perhaps was he a player on Ashworth’s radar for Newcastle…
