The era when Porsche were conquering LMP2, and challenging LMP1, with the Spyder, now that was racing.

FIA worked with all three series to ensure it didn't have a clash for this year.
I'd already heard rumours about it on Thursday evening, from the owners of the company which runs the campsite where I stay.
Maybe I'm misremembering but I don't remember it clashing with a MotoGP/F1 weekend like it does this year? I guess this is the best FIA could come up with.

Yep I completely agree, the cars are all so evenly matched, it's fantastic.
I doubt they spend as much as Toyota. Plus they haven’t had the skin in the game Toyota have had for so long. I’m genuinely surprised Porsche and therefore Audi aren’t busting to get back into this.
Porsche are back in it with the 963, they just didn't do very well.
