Super Bowl LVIII is over. Chiefs are the NFL Champions again. Mahomes is the Finals MVP again. It was the most watched Super Bowl in history.

Chiefs also become the first team to repeat (win back to back championships) since Bill, Tom and the Patriots did it in 2004. Niners suffered their second Super Bowl loss in the last 5 years (both against the Chiefs).

Will the Andy Reid led Chiefs become the first team to 3peat? Will any other AFC team step up? Will Shanahan and the Niners be back for another shot at glory? Will the young Lions mature and go all the way?

Off Season Schedule
Now let's look at the 2024 "off-season" schedule

Feb 20thNFL teams can start using their franchise or transition tags on players
Feb 27th to March 4thNFL Scouting Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis
March 5thFranchise tag deadline at 4 PM EST
March 11th to 13thNegotiation period for unrestricted free agents
March 13thThe 2024 League Year and Free Agency signing period begin at 4:00 PM EST
April 19thDeadline for restricted free agents to sign offer sheets.
April 25th to 27thNFL Draft at Detroit, Michigan
May 2ndFifth year option deadline for clubs

The official schedule is usually released around the 2nd week of May

Fairweather fan and dip in and out but would consider myself a chiefs fan if anything so could be listed there.
 
Just before a season starts, Peter Schrager predicts who will win the Super Bowl on twitter. His last 5 were:

2019 - Chiefs
2020 - Bucs
2021 - Rams
2022 - Chiefs
2023 - Chiefs beat the 49ers (the only year he's predicted the winner and the loser).

Current consolidated mock from the mock draft database… If I’m reading the smoke and nonsense right, Denver might have to jump the Vikes to get JJ McCarthy who is the hottest name out there right now.

Not a lot of defense at the top, and we might see a record for number of OTs taken in the 1st. That’s another point where I disagree as I suspect a guy like Harbaugh will start building the trenches and take the first OT. For sure though 4 QBs and 3 WRs in the top 12 I think.

I wonder if we'll get the ultimate holy shit squeaky bumtime play during next year's post season. Had the 49ers scored a TD and kicked the extra point in their drive in OT the plan was for the Chiefs to go for a 2 point conversion after scoring to ice the game.

That would be quite funny if Russel Wilson costs them a third 1st round pick.

Combine time! Must fun and interesting groups aren't until Saturday evening European time though (QB, RB, WR).

Shame Nabers and MHJ aren't running, but it makes sense. Nothing to prove there and could only deflate their draft stock.
