Got the draft coming up in about 6 weeks or so. That's always interesting.

I usually pick up some magazines about it, and the USA Today always has a good preview the Friday before.

I figure that the Jets could use a big receiver (the guy from Michigan State would be nice) and a quick linebacker (the guy from Oklahoma looks pretty good). My guess is they take the LB first. Good WRs are usually available through the first two rounds.

Charles Rogers (the Michigan St WR) will probably go 2nd in the draft behind Palmer, so I don't think the Jets will have a chance. And besides...their future is bright with Coles and Moss and Chrebet ain't too shabby either. ;)

I don't think that Rogers will be around when the Jets pick, but a WR at #2? Only the Jets would do that (Lam Jones).

This is what many (inlcuding Kiper)are predicting for the top 3.

1. Carson Palmer (QB)
2. Charles Rogers (WR)
3. Andre Johnson (WR)

That makes sense. Usually the Jets go for a reach pick anyway, like DE Thomas last year. There are so many good receivers in college these days, you usually don't even have to look outside of the state of Florida.

Raoul, Got to go, it's about 12:30am here and I'm still in my office. Have to try and salvage what's left of Friday night. Luckily it's and some people don't even go out until now. Be careful over there.
