Why call him ronaldo lima? That's like calling james ward-prouse, James Ouse. WeirdYeah cool era of football that was. I keep forgetting that Ronaldo Lima once played for Inter. Always associate him with Barca and Real.
I really don't know.Why call him ronaldo lima? That's like calling james ward-prouse, James Ouse. Weird

He also played for Milan and is loved by fans of all 4 clubs. Makes you wonder.Yeah cool era of football that was. I keep forgetting that Ronaldo Lima once played for Inter. Always associate him with Barca and Real.
Wouldn't it be Ronaldo de Lima? Whenever I see people trying to differentiate I see Ronaldo Nazario, anyway.What? That makes no sense
Ronaldo Lima differentiates him from Cristiano although in this context it wasn't need because people know which Ronaldo played for Inter.

His full name is Ronaldo(first name) Luis(middle name) Nazario(father's family name) DA LIMA(mother's family name)What? That makes no sense

Like calling Cristiano Ronaldo Dos Santos Aveiro, Cristiano Eiro
Yeah you're rightIt's the other way around in Brazil from other Latin countries. First surname is the mother's, on the basis you always know for a fact who the mother is.
Pretty much how I always felt. I enjoyed seeing the quality and tactical battles but I always preferred my football Spanish or English back then as I do now.It was the top league and seemed really sexy when it came on channel 4 but by God a lot of the games were dull.
Used to love this show.
True. The Saturday morning highlight show worked so well in that respect, showing all the flashes of brilliance that were required to score goals in that defensively ruthless league. And James Richardson on top form, bringing the papers onto the show. It was a format that Sky went on to ran with for a long time with Revista and even Jimmy Hill's Sunday Supplement had some of its roots there.It was the top league and seemed really sexy when it came on channel 4 but by God a lot of the games were dull.

Does it not? That's what I believed as a kidAlways used to think it was saying "GAAL LAZIO"

mind blown.Golazo
Very good for Parma during a golden era for the club often scoring important goals. He was fairly deadly at international level also but a disappointment for Newcastle and a bit of a loon to boot. He never really recovered the Parma form of the mid 90's but he did score a hat-rick for Newcastle in a win over a Barca side consisting of Figo, Guardiola, Luis Enrique, Rivaldo etc;How good was this Asprilla guy?
There's only one Ronaldo, all the others should be called something different, not O Fenomeno.
This.
Ronaldo = Ronaldo
CR7 = Cristiano Ronaldo
But that there are maybe 3 Ronaldos (Ronaldo, CR7, Ronaldinho) among the top 5-7 best footballers of all time makes you wonder how you should name your future children.
