He is a horrible coach and never has his team focused and ready for a big game...and his team always manages to lose to a weaker opponent prior to the Red River Shootout...and when his team is being beaten by OU, they tend to give up, roll over, and be spanked.

Four consecutive defeats to Oklahoma, in the biggest game of the college football year, with millions watching, and in 3 of these games, Texas was out of the contest by halftime. Brown is now the proud owner of the two heaviest defeats in the Red River rivalry. The pass defense, which was in the top 3 going into the game, was exposed for its lack of talent. It was only in the top 3 because the previous opponents had run the ball right at Texas and did not attempt to attack throught the air. But OU sure did.

Right now, OU is unbeatable...untouchable...no team could finish within 14 points of them...however, there are still plenty of weeks ahead and anything can happen. Texas alumni surely are not satisfied with the constant top 5 and 10 recruiting classes...but yearly defeats to OU and 1-2 weaker foes are wieghing in on their opinion of the program, head coach, and yearly talk of "this could be our year." Time to look for a new coach, I say.

My candidates include Frank Beamer (VaTech), Jim Tressell (Ohio State), Bill Snyder (Kansas State), Rick Neuheisel, Mike Belloti (Oregon), and there would be some NFL coaches too (coordinators and soon to be fired head coaches).

The Texas-OU game was ugly. Miami and Virginia Tech would both play OU tough.
