I heard one radio commentator suggest Steve Waugh as the likely replacement but surely it would have to be a bowler.

Just heard the news.

I dont know if they can bring in a replacement, i am guessing that they can as the rule stated if a player is out of the whole tournament a replacement can be called.

It will be interesting to see what he says about the issue.

As much as i would like it, i can see that happening as it would throw off the whole team, changing captain etc.

But will they allow drugs people to be replaced? I thought it only applied to injuries.

Apparently it was a tablet prescribed for his mum. Shane was concerned that after a lengthy lay off with his shoulder injury that he wouldn't look good on his come back game.
So not only is he stupid but he's bloody vain as well.
