Maybe this has been discussed on here before and I'm way behind the times but a mate of mine from London has just told me that there was a big rumour that the real reason Pardew was sacked last year was because it was discovered he was banging Roy Carroll's wife after he had told Carroll to stay behind for extra training. If true that is very naughty. Are any of you aware if tehre is any substance to this rumour?

:lol: That is too funny to be true, you would think Pardew would be around in training. Think he is pulling your leg mate

I think I can spot a few holes in this story.

1. If Pardew was ordering him in for extra training, then he'd be doing it in the afternoon. If Pardew was leaving in the early afternoon the club would have had something to say about it. The club would probably have sacked him quicker for not being around to do his job than for being on the job with Mrs Carroll.

2. If Pardew was staying in the club all day, but demanding that Carroll come back after he'd left to do extra training, then someone at the club, ie the other coaches etc would have had questions to as why. Never mind the fact that Carroll probably wouldn't have been to thrilled about it.

Not necessarily. If the goalkeepers were sticking around for extra training it would probably be with the specialist goalkeeping coach and Pardew wouldn't necessarily be taking part in the session. Also, I'm not sure football management is a eight hours behind the desk every day sort of job, i.e going scouting other teams etc. I'm sure they get a chance to float off in the afternoon to fit in some other things in, pardon the pun.

On your second point, having seen Roy Carroll play I doubt the other coaches would be questionning Pardew's wisdom in asking him to come in for additional training.

As to your first point, it seems to me from what I've heard, managers do spend at least a working day at the training ground. But I could be wrong.

As to your second.

There was a lot of reasons leading to Pards' sacking, be warned though legal action has been threatened against sites that contain such accusations and the poster who put them up

So ignoring the Pardew issues a lot of the problems were caused by;

Roy Caroll - Alcohol
Etherington - Gambling
Teddy Sherringham - Racism
Shaun Newton - Drugs
Reo Coker - Egotistical shit footballer
Terence Brown - Corruption
Paul Aldridge - Even worse than Brown
And generally financial figures not adding up

He didn't like a certain Israeli who used to be at the club, also he didn't get on with two Argentenians who used to play for West Ham.. so the rumour goes anyway

I'm not going to give the players names though ;);)

that's akin to saying some of the arsenal players don't like a certain englishman at the club that is

Who was the West Homer that got caught in the showers wiith another geezer by his mrs...? didn't she stab him in the arse with a kitched knife too...?

Thats a bit more broad

It could be hoyte, Walcott, even the chairman

Thats just rubbish, the whole infedility thing involves an ex manager and a current players (who is an international and most likely leaving this month) ex partner

Remembered his name... Trevor Morley... ex-City

Wasn't Roy Caroll's missus from what I have heard...it was Carl Fletcher's, who left us about three months before Pardew did.

All subject to hearsay ofcourse, in case any litigation lawyers are reading this!

He had effectively 'lost' the dressing room as well, with players like Reo Coker and Harewood being particularly 'disruptive'.

So you're saying you got rid of him purely because he didnt like 3 players - all of whom have now left the club.

Quite clearly that was an astute piece of business.

he played with foreigners here, it's an odd brand of racism that is racist towards Israel and Argentina only?
