I remember I could put on NatGeo at any moment a few years back and something interesting was airing with regards to nature, history, aliens, mafia, scandals, military conflicts and stuff. Nowadays I rarely watch NatGeo because they're airing crap like The Incredible Dr Pol, The Dog Whisperer, Car SOS, Ice Road Rescues, Yukon Gold, Dirty Rotten Survival, Cesar to the Rescue, Ultimate Airport Dubai, Science of Stupid. They still got some 'decent' shows airing like Locked Up Abroad, Underworld Inc, but the channel overall is just not as interesting anymore as a few years back.

Yeah too much pretentious bollocks on Nat Geo these days. I like Mega Factories though.

Yukon gold isnt a bad series though. Saying that it does get a bit repettitive

Not sure that's the word you're looking for... They could do with upping their level of pretentiousness, tbh.

Exactly, they need to stop showing shit about nonsense and actually produce like you know... science documentaries.

I totally agree, it's annoying. And even when they do show stuff about, say, the natural world, it's always through the prism of wackiness.

"This little critter is randier than most, and will stop at NOTHING to get his bootycall *snicker*"

This channel has always been littered with crap. Especially the crap about aliens.

It's still crap. But I guess reality shows make more money?

Finding Bigfoot folks. Finding Bigfoot.
Educate yourselves on the strangest show you'll ever see. The kicker is the hosts actually believe that shit. The search for Bigfoot takes a back seat to the gullibility of the hosts.

I love mountain monsters, ive never been able to figure out if they're all in on the joke though

im not sure if the whole show down to the 'real' people they talk to are all actors

or if its just the hunters and the producers are in on it and the people they meet with/talk to really believe they had encounters with these monsters

Or if its just the producers who know its faked and these guys really think they are hunting some kind of mythical monsters that nobody has ever caught before

Yeah but they know it's bullshit, they always find proof of existence on their first night out now..
The finding Bigfoot crowd are special. One presenter told a heart warming story of leaving his teaching job so he could go look for Bigfoot for a year... All the while living out of his car with no income coming in.
Or their scientific research which is sending out their 6'4 presenter to reenact eye witness reports in front of said witnesses. If the witness says the creature was bigger than the presenter then it's definitely a bigfoot, if it's smaller then it's not a man mistaken for bigfoot...it was a baby bigfoot.
Or their completly made up Bigfoot mating calls, they yell into the night waiting for responses but every yell sounds completely different from the last.
Or how they found out if you hit a tree with a stick then Bigfoots will reply by hitting their own trees. Or if you throw rocks into a river they will do so in kind. They're very playful.
Honestly the show is a psychological goldmine

NatGeoWild is their nature channel. The default channels (Discovery, Natural Geographic etc) are just peddling reality crap shows.

Is "How it's made" a NatGeo programme? It's probably not but I just wanted to mention it because it's one of the most moreish shows on TV.
