Brilliant line from Dong's Wikipedia page:

On the back of ex-Manchester United teammate Cristiano Ronaldo's recommendation, Portimonense signed Dong to a one-year deal in August 2010.

Seen 2 former academy players in action yesterday against eachother.

Conor Devlin is now at Cliftonville who were crowned champions of the Northern Irish Premiership. He was playing against Chris Curran for Ballinamallard. Both have been star players this season and will be of interest to bigger clubs.

Devlin is supposed to be heading to Forest. Heard through someone who knows him. He's had a great season, from what my workmates who watch them every week have said.

Was surprised that both players left England to go back to NI at the time. Was confident both could have made an impression at a League 1 or 2 team which would pay better than what they're currently earning. Devlin has filled out well, has quite a presence.

Sometimes you take a step backwards before you take two forward. Eiður Guðjohnsen came back to Iceland after his PSV stint and was known as the "fatso in KR" but not long after that he joined Bolton.
You see it a bit here with players coming back from Scandinavia and then returning there again.

Are they both playing as professionals?
