Apparently he is one of the main men, not sure if ETH selected him or it was another crazy Woody decision.

Have been watching him this season, and all too often he has a pen a paper, writing notes. Almost every other sport you see coaches using modern devices such as tablets.

He has a big mad red face on him these days, with a disheveled look, like a homeless dude.

What is his role in this fiasco and why is he still here?

He is Ten Hag’s man and Ten Hag is the one responsible for both the coaching and the playing staff. It’s a given he goes when ETH goes.

Difficult to blame him for anything when we don't know what he is responsible for. It's easy with the manager because we do know what he's responsible for

Ha ha, like the Schteve bit. I just asked the question in the EtH thread. He's failed wherever he's turned up since he left Utd the first time. SJR will have him out and possibly EtH too.

He is problem number 24 at the moment, and problem 1 or 2 is head coach, so it is no wonder that is what is getting the headlines and discussion. Always thought his appointment was an 'L' especially after that fake Dutch accent all those years ago. But it was amusing that he seems to coach the players more than EtH now, which shows that EtH has given up. I say fire both of them tonight.

Not his call or responsibility. Not saying I would want it to be either, but he isnt the manager and cant do anything the manager disagrees with

Bit harsh all the Electronic devices at United will probably be in English. Schteve can speak English but he might just prefer to take notes in his native tongue.

Woody left before ETH?

The last time we ranted about poor assistant coaches it was McKenna and Carrick who are both now successful managers who have turned around Championship clubs, so there is pretty good reason to not judge an assistant solely on the performance of the team when we have no real knowledge of what they do on a daily basis.

Ole got hammered for using an iPad, but McClaren is now some sort of dinosaur for using a pen and paper. You can’t make this stuff up. You’re all unhinged.

The assistants shouldn't get the blame. They're mostly all people the manager wanted on his coaching staff. Even if everything isn't the managers fault, he leads the team, and will take the blame when things are constantly going wrong.
