Thoroughly unimpressive vast majority of the season. Long way off a top three side. Bit of an overhaul required. Today wasn’t the worst of it. Reality check for me was Bristol C last week. No good having a playmaker who is ridiculously off the pace.

missed the game thankfully, grassroots football takes priority!

not surprised by the result unfortunately - even 4th place now in danger but its all on the cup now anyway

Good start as a few times before, but it doesn’t seem to last long before the misplaced passes crop up and the defensive organization crumbles. It’s a long way to the top suddenly

It feels like when we get a truly top player other clubs come sniffing around them. We shouldn’t be selling the likes of Lauren James to Chelsea or Russo to Arsenal but here we are. We’re supposed to be one of the biggest clubs in the world it’s about time we start acting like it

The defensive structure seems to crumble under a good press. Obvious yesterday and at OT in November. The forward play is too slow, too lateral and predictable. The opposition have plenty of time to get into shape. If we have a breaking player they are so often isolated as the others are too deep. When Rachel Williams came into play and held up the ball this helped massively and that's just one area where we badly miss Russo. Defence not the same without Ona. Jayde has potential but not yet strong enough on the ball. Why oh why the predictable substitution of Ella when she's clearly one of our most creative players. It's time for a new coach in my opinion. I woulld like their assessment of the current squad and just as important our future transfer needs. I stopped listening to Skinners interviews a long time ago.

We can't expect to be near the top of this league without significant investment.

We've done alright in the last few seasons to compete, but our 'it'll do' attitude to training, facilities and squad investment has rebounded. Summer signings have not worked out. Expect Earps to follow Russo to Arsenal.

Skinner may be replaced, it does seem to have run its course, but we are set for further misery if we cannot address core issues and introduce hard standards for summer signings.

The biggest challenge is how to convince key players United is the club for them.

Yeah not easy selling this project to players when they see what Arsenal,Chelsea,City can offer
