I really do like Ian Darke: "And the goal was scored in the time added on for the largely bogus injury, we think, to Erica."
She cheated and with the time she wasted, cost her time. HA!

I don't even think I've seen the men's team cheat that much...

You mean any men's team or Brazil? Brazil men don't do all the diving and cheating, you are probably thinking about Argentina. It is sad that Alves did worse in the Barca Real game.

Wait if you see the last penalty for US, the Brazilian GK took a step forward before the penalty was taken. Doesn't that mean she would have retake it? Not that I am complaining but just noticed that.

Retake if only she saves it.

I actually find the women's WC more exciting and better than MLS. Till now I have only watched one full game in four years of me being in the US and that game was a live Galaxy v Red Bulls two months ago when I went to see Beckham.

a very United-like performance by the U.S. women today. what a great job! they out-played brazil, even when they were a man down. they weren't going to let the refs, and brazil, deny them.

Watch the Sounders-Timbers match today. It'll be a real rivalry game and the atmosphere at Portland is always cracking. Just like it is in Seattle.

She got called for it on the first take when she saved it, then she did it again every single time after that. So there would have been retakes every time she saved it, but you don't retake a made penalty because the keeper was out.

Missed the 1st half, but the second half was great. The atmosphere at Jeld-Wen Field makes me wonder if future MLS stadiums will go away a bit from the purpose-built stadiums, and maybe look for existing small stadiums for renovations.
