Can't find any other place for it. So might as well post it here -

Huddersfield boss Mark Robins admits he could seek talks with Sir Alex Ferguson about taking Manchester United players on-loan.

Town’s fifth manager in as many years still keeps in touch with his mentor and will soon be on the phone to the Old Trafford legend for a spot of advice – and a player or two to boost his squad.

Robins said: “Sir Alex is great for young managers who are making their way in the game. He’s always available to talk and will lend an ear if you need him to.

“I’m sure we’ll speak soon and in any case, he has a few players we might want to take.”

......

Wonder who we can send ?

Tunnicliffe would do well there, I think. They could do with another wide player as well, but I don't think Lingard would suit their more robust style.

They would be good cover for them, but they already have established players at centre back, with the captain Clarke and Gerrard, and at right back with Hunt who despite his poor showing yesterday he is highly rated.

They are lacking wide players and good strikers. I can see them playing 4-5-1 for the rest of the season to try and get around the lack of strikers so maybe Tunnicliffe or Thorpe is a possibility.

Just bought tickets for this seeing as I live only a short drive away and it's not every day Manchester United to come to town (even if it is the under 21s). Should be a good Monday night of entertainment.

If you dont have MUTV you can drink piss and watch it on LFCTV (unbelievably bias commentary)

Edit: I'd suggest getting a stream, I remember watching that FAYC tie on there, awful

I'm hoping to see Powell, Janujzaj and Lingard in particular. Would be nice to see Ben Pearson on the bench as well.

How has Cole been this year?

Not very impressive, IMO.

There's been so much chopping and changing with injuries, loans and general rotation that it's really hard to get a feel for a starting XI. This season we've lost Henriquez, Keane, Bebe, Macheda, King, Wooton, Tunnicliffe, Lingard and Petrucci and maybe some others.

I'm hoping to see people like James Wilson being given a chance, as well as Pearson, Daehli and Januzaj although the latter two have looked to struggle with the physicality difference that comes with the age jump so far.

Januzaj has been the best player in 2 games already for the U21's.

Wilson is injured so i don't think he'll get a chance today. Pearson and Daehli on the bench, could be possible but they played on Saturday.

With Brown and Tunnicliffe gone what we do with Defence and midfield will be interesting.

The games I saw of Januzaj he certainly didn't perform as well as he did in the U18's but that's to be expected. I haven't seen any U21 games in a fair while though, so it's possible that Januzaj has been good in the games I've missed.

Yeah I know Wilson is injured, do we have ANY strikers available actually? No Henriquez, Bebe, King, Macheda or Wilson? That could be interesting!

I'm shit with remembers the defenders names, but Vermijl is still around isn't he? Blackett, Veseli and maybe Tom Thorpe at the back, although I'd like to see him in his natural midfield role.

Lawrence is a striker isn't he, id expect him to start.

The last game I saw if Januzaj in u21s he was running the show, I really really like him.

Other defender is Fornasier and Tom Thorpe is a natural defender who has been playing in midfield....

If Thorpe plays in Defence who'll play deeper in midfield though ? Tunnicliffe has gone on loan too.

Ekangmene would take one role i assume and the other ? Or Powell can play deeper with Lawrence as striker ?

Have got this game on sky record (LFCTv). Agree that commentary is awful though, I usually turn the volume down and not listen to pre-match/post-match. And I'm a 'Pool fan. :s

Actually interested in seeing Januzaj. You lot been raving a lot about him. The last time I saw him was 2-ish years ago against us for U18 and he did better than most of your players. He had more pace than Suso, but much less than Sterling I remember.

Liverpool a clear favourite for me today. Too many quality players (at this level) have lost us - either permanently or on-loan (including the injury to Will Keane)

He's no winger, thats for certain. Much more of a midfielder than a winger. Can almost imagine him playing 10 if he was a little more dynamic (not that that stops Berbatov).
Someone like a Silva would be a decent comparison.

Got some good players, but our spine is weak. Goalie, two CBs and two CMs (if they're Roddan, Lussey or even Coady). That's where you can hurt us. But I suppose at this level its about development more than winning trophies.

Our U-18s have got some exciting players coming through too. More excitement being generated from them than even Suso/Sterling were getting. :) One or two would have played tonight (Ibe / Sinclair) but I reckon they'll be rested for the FA Youth Cup against Leeds on Thursday.

Ha I thought we might have got a biter, I'm a bit disappointed!
Will you be watching? Hopefully you'll be more.impressed this time, this team was tearing it up last year but injuries/loans have disrupted things.

Remember lads, if we win it, then results are not important at this level and if we lose this match, then they've a better youth setup than us.

Liverpool playing a few fringe first-teamers, whilst we'll no doubt be bringing more and more youngsters in having sent a load of players off on loan recently. So we're definitely underdogs in this one. I'm quite looking forward to that, in a way.

Strong teams by both.

Interesting to see how Schlupp plays.

Have we signed him ? Or can he play on trial ?
