I doubt he would have bothered the 'I'll show the manager my worth' speach a few weeks back if he intended to leave.

Well he didn't specifically say SAF so it seems clear he was on about a different manager who he wants to play for. Cheeky sod.

He's told his friends he wants out? Well that sucks for his friends but at least he was up front about it. Not sure what that has to do with United though

Such a obvious story to make up and fill pages, given his situation. Meh.

Right up there with the Rooney ones after the Madrid game.

It's amazing how parents and mates get involved when speculation is rife. The other week, when Ferguson committed footballing crimes against humanity by benching the invincible king of football, Wayne Rooney, for 60 minutes, the next day "sources close to Alex Ferguson" (quote BBC 6 o'clock news) revealed he is looking to sell Rooney. I think anyone with a loaf would realise that Ferguson plays his cards close to his chest. I doubt he tells anyone what his plans are. Infact, it was amazing that nonsensical speculation even made it on to the evening's major news coverage, based on sweet sod all.

I've read a few articles on Nani today. All of them say Nani wants to leave, then it goes on to quote Ferguson saying he wants to keep Nani, and then quotes from Nani saying that he's happy to be back from injury wand wants to show he can be counted on. What are the media expecting? Ferguson picks Nani, despite being injured, and we just play with 10 men, whilst Nani's shirt is draped over the corner flag? How else could the manager show his commitment to the player?

Based on the actuality, and not bogus unfounded bilge, I can't see him leaving.

I agree. Still not signed a new deal and nevermind no smoke without fire. This one's like a fecking inferno.

It's a shame as he's our best winger.
The no smoke without fire phrase is bullshit though. It's the same as, 'the more you say it the more likely it is to be true'. It's not. Not in the world of the media. It's no inferno.

It just feels like one because people talk about it. This is no different to any other contractual situation where you just have to wait

Do you think he'll still be here on 1st Sept?

He sure will. I can't understand people that think otherwise. SAF wants to keep him and rates him, then he will only leave if one of the to great sides in Spain fork up the cash, and they wont (part to him not being available).

This is the player that Valencia says that he follows in matches and training to learn more. He has not always been great, but he is a top winger in the world of football and one of the players I most enjoy to watch at the club, and with SAF's history and feelings for ability players I know that he feels the same way.

Then there is no way SAF can let him go. I mean how can he when GiggsForever enjoys watching him so much ?

What the feck are you on about? Did I say that he will stay because I enjoy to watch him.

He will stay because SAF want him to stay, that is all. Just wait and see.

I see your name every time there is something negative being said, don't reply to my post again if you do not have anything constructive or worthwhile to say.

Err what ? And you added that as a reason that he will stay, not me. How is that relevant to whether he stays or not ?

Anyways, the contract is on the table and SAF wants him to stay. Upto Nani whether he signs it or not. Very unlikely that if he doesn't sign we allow his contract to run out, so the contract and whether or not he signs will determine his future at United.

fecking hell, this is unreal. I had to leave the match-day thread for fear I'd be overcome with stupidity, but chaos reigns here too. The match is 20 minutes old and there's posters that him substituted already? Laughable.

He's still the one player in our front four that I'd have total confidence in to make something happen. It'll come, don't worry.

I still reiterate my point: he's far more dangerous to the opposition than Cleverley, Welbeck or Hernandez. Yes, one or two passes have been astray, but he's a threat and I'd like to see him really run at Bertrand more, who I think is a little suspect defensively.

Awful for the first 20 mins or so, got his finger out of his arse after that and looked a threat.

Some of our "supporters" are a complete embarrassment.

They are.

This is a player who has been out for a month and always struggled for form after injuries, some of the comments on the match day thread are fecking disgraceful really.

He has been rubbish though, but he did improve towards the end, so hopefully he won't be taken off now.

Looked the most likely to make something happen despite being unable to pass to a team mate.

I say without hyperbole that was the worst half of football that a footballer has ever played football in.

As bad as he was, he put in 2 really good crosses from set pieces and had a decent effort on goal. His link up play is not coming off at all really. Improved nearer the end of the half
