It's a general chat rather than analyzing and rating films, but a mod can move it at their discretion I guess.Wrong forum?
1,2,3 yes.Die Hard.
And Slevs' parent's sex tapes.
I didn't know they'd made so many, I'd imagine your parents were running out of ideas by parts 4 and 5?1,2,3 yes.
4 and 5 not so much.
Some things you just can't unsee.Well lets be honest, nobody wanted to see Slevs Parents 5: The Angry Pirate.
That was on the other day, not bad.Troy.
Was supposed to be the greatest film of all time but, for me, it turned out to be rubbish. It was probably spoilt for me because there was a series about gladiators on BBC which I had been watching & there were so many inaccuracies in the film as to make it pretty much unwatchable.Gladiator
Troy.
Yeah I watched it too... there are two awful, yet brilliant moments in Troy. First is Brad Pitt's (who is utterly awful in the film) "Immortality! Take it, it's yours!" speech, which is so bad it's brilliant... and second is how Sean Bean's character comes up with the idea for The Trojan Horse, the centre-piece behind one of the greatest fables ever told...That was on the other day, not bad.
I remember watching that scene with a few mates, completely stoned, and we just burst into pure laughter and tears for around ten minutes, it's just absolutely fecking gold.He sits down next to a bloke who, for some weird reason unknown to us, is carving a little toy horse out of some wood (again.. why?!)... not to be rude, Our Bean points to said horse and remarks... "Thats Good" in a nice thick Yorkshire accent, before looking down, then looking up as if a million light-bulbs all went off at once... and that, ladies and gents is the inception of the great Trojan Horse... it is honestly one of the greatest scenes in modern cinematic history.
glad it stood out to other people... it's amazing.I remember watching that scene with a few mates, completely stoned, and we just burst into pure laughter and tears for around ten minutes, it's just absolutely fecking gold.
The iliad is a brilliant book as well as the Odyssey if you like ancient history..Of course if I got round to reading the Iliad, I would have probably switched off Troy after 10 minutes.
But you can still stand to watch Gladiator & Troy? The iliad is a brilliant book as well as the Odyssey if you like ancient history..
Which incase you couldn't tell, I do
Because they are very good 'films', take them at face value, I don't watch them for their historical accuracies, merely the entertainment... it's not a bad job they have done... there are millions of inaccuracies, name one book or story that went to film without missing any of the parts out? There isn't one...But you can still stand to watch Gladiator & Troy?
Not sure is serious.gifAmerican Pie series.
Probably if you look at the insane imdb ratings and all.Pulp Fiction is overrated.
I'm probably going to get murdered for saying that now.
