I was at home watching Sky Sports while reading the Moyes thread waiting for the news.

I checked the caf between teaching classes. The girls in the next class wondered why I was smiling more than usual.

I was the first person to post it on the caf. In the Moyes So Far thread. I had just sat down at my desk and booted up my computer at work.

I work in a call centre for a large bookmakers when a punter called up looking for a price on Giggs to be next United manager, I explained this price applied to the next permanent manager and told him I was going to check with my supervisor whether the bet still stands if Moyes stays on next season, to which he told me Moyes had been sacked and news had just broke on SSN, So some random scouser told me basically

It was just a regular day. Everything seemed fine at work and I was completely focused on my job and my staff. I couldn't sleep that night so I went to the office early. Must have been about 5:30am. Figured I would do some diligent early morning work for my organization, big big plans I have been working on all year. They depend on my leadership so I have to work hard. I hadn't been listening to the radio, watching the news, using the internet, and my mobile was turned off.

Got a knock on the office door at 7:40, there's a suprise meeting down the hall so off I go and there's Ed from the money department, and he tells me the big news: "have you heard that our share prices are up 15%? That's because you're fired."

I went to sleep expecting it to be done by morning (New York time). Woke up to an email from my brother titled "Ding Dong..." and I knew it was done. Fired up Twitter, scrolled back a few hours and then re-lived the whole thing tweet by tweet. The feeling of relief just washed over me

On the Monday I had just got back from the gym and was checking out the cafe of my IPad before I went in the shower.

I saw the Moyes to be sacked thread, didn't make it to the shower till the following morning.

I was at work doing some boring task and snuck onto the internet for a short while just in case. That day instantly became brilliant and I was jumpy and grinning like an idiot for at least two hours after I heard before I got back down to Earth.

I was home, pounding F5 in the 'Moyes to be sacked' thread. Oh those glorious moments after the first Tweet appeared...

I've been on training this week so I had been driving down to Newbury in the car (with a broken radio).

I got to the venue about 9:15 and saw on the news in the lobby about what had happened.

And then was barely able to use my phone or read anything about it until 7pm.
