Finished watching Friday Night Lights. Absolutely brilliant show. Loved it. Sad that it's finished :(

Just started 24. About 6 episodes in. It's ok, not great though. Does it get better, worse or stay the same? Should I carry on watching it? Also, read there's a TV film, where abouts in the timeline does this fit in?

Season 2 is a cracker, It's abit dated now but still good. The whole lot's well worth at least 1 watch through.

I think so too. It becomes repetitive but I remember being thoroughly entertained at least until the end of season 5. Then it becomes just a bit too silly, but still good guilty pleasure viewing.

Season 2 is fantastic, except for Kim's storyline that drags it down a bit. Shame cos the rest of the season is great.

Yeah season 1, just because I saw the recent one come out and thought why not! Annoying though as the missus keeps guessing things before they happen! So... is the film a part of the storyline? Cheers
Oh yeah forgot to answer that part. The TV film is the link between day 6 and day 7 (as the seasons are called).

I've started watching Mad Men recently, mid-way through S5 now. Great show so far IMO.

Just finished up college exams so looking to get back into some TV watching, seen pretty much all the main stuff and just finished watching the Americans which I thought was great. Big fan of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia so maybe something similar to that? Or any really good shows out in the last year or two I might have missed?

Not sure if it is your kind of show but True Detective was one of the best shows to air recently. Everyone I know who has seen it loves it.

You're...going to love me
I thought I'd finally get round to starting Portlandia today. Didn't think much of it to be honest. Does it get better or should I just abandon it now?

Is anyone watching 'The 100'? I started it earlier on and have seen half the pilot. Seems like there's some very hammy dialogue, the acting is a bit shit, but the premise is ok and I'm wondering whether the storylines are any good. Kind of reminds me of Terra Nova which turned out awful after about 3 episodes and that I gave up. Therefore if anyone has any feedback...

I like the sound of The 100, I'm legally acquiring it right now

Have been really, really impressed by "The Tomorrow People."

I know it's already finished in the States, we're a way behind here in Oz. Shame it got canned. Even bigger shame that the reason given was that the "internet presence" of the show wasn't big enough. :(

About to start episode 3. It's not terrible but it's far from good.
Humpf. Don't think I'll pursue it then. The signs were there in the opening 20 minutes, but I reckoned that if the storylines were good enough, it might make for mildly entertaining TV. Seems like it's not the case.

My girlfriend wants us to start watching Suits... It doesn't seem like my kind of show... Unless anyone here can convince me otherwise.

Nilsson is right Schwein. It's a very fair portrayal of the legal world, where as everyone knows, each case is resolved through an unlikely deus ex machina that systematically happens between minutes 30 and 35 of the show. Also, we're all a bunch of douchebags who spend our time pouting, thinking we're much clever-er than we are, spouting shit lines and being douchebags to one another.

I thought it was quite awful, I gave it a fair shot (I watched 6 episodes) but the structure is very rigid and you just feel you're watching the same episode each time. I thought the actors were really bad, and it contained absolutely every cliché of the genre, both in structure and in content.

There's a thread dedicated to it though, and those who like it really love it, so who knows, you might enjoy it.

Hmm... I might keep an eye on it as the missus watches it and see how I feel. I have done the same with Scandal, and surprisingly, it's quite addictive

Finished watching that recently. It was an easy enough way to kill an hour but I'm kinda happy that it's over too, the plot became really stupid towards the end.

To be honest, Suits is way better than White Collar. I see both shows and I like both the shows but White Collar is in danger of not getting renewed for another season because its predictable. Suits has a little more drama.
