I have a lot of time for Rio and will back him and as good as it is to get an inside look, it's a shame this will play out the way it will.

I know it's unseemly, but I can't get enough of this stuff. Sort of like watching Mean Girls-the more dirt slung Moyes's way, to me, the better.
I know exactly how you feel. I don't have any hatred towards Moyes, but I really hope there's more of this to come out against him. I think it's because the more anecdotal evidence of his incompetence there is, the more we can hope and believe that last season was a one-off.

And I know it's hypocritical considering I enjoyed reading that, but I wish footballers would stop with this shit. The defence is always 'he has to sell books' - well, quite frankly, no, he doesn't. He's a multi-millionaire who is set for life. He doesn't need to sell anything - he has made a choice to get more money, and he's doing that by dragging someone's name through the mud. Stay classy.

Imagine taking a stroll in your neighborhood park and you see a professional football club there practicing? Not to mention Manchester United, a universally known club looking amateurish? Wowwww.

Maybe Carrington was that bad that Moyes had to train players at a neighbourhood park. No wonder LvG had it upgraded :D

As bad as Moyes was, Ferdinand's attitude and twitter antics were a disgrace.

Was waiting for the first 'insider' account of the Moyes era. I reckon there's still probably loads to be said from the likes of Vidic, Evra, Welbeck, Hernandez.

“Sometimes our main tactic was the long, high, diagonal cross. It was embarrassing. In one home game against Fulham we had 81 crosses! I was thinking, why are we doing this? Andy Carroll doesn’t play for us!

We're all stood round admiring our injury list, wondering what's wrong with the impeccably engineered astro-turf inside Carrington, when all along Moyes had them sliding around on a barren, dog shit laden field?

Van Gaal day 1: This Carrington is shit, needs to be done up. Like that lovely park I saw down the road............

He may have been on about the away fixture and a park in Munich, to be fair.

Please start talking about the training routines. How did we get to the point of not being able to string two passes to each other.

I have no issues with rio on this. Both Moyes and rio have gone and we all realised that things went wrong last season. It's car crash tv but it's going to be worth a watch just to see how bad things got... Who'll be the first to blame the players yet again for last season.finally we'll get some blame after all Moyes has had his say and his friends in the press are already pushing his pr machine to full steam ahead... I even heard that Moyes was unlucky not to have di Maria and Falcao, as if Moyes wasn't given £70m to spend if not more!!

Better the truth about Moyes come out than tiptoeing around the issue in the name of "staying classy."

Evra was one of the very few who stuck by him didn't he? I thought I read that somewhere. I mean he probably didn't rate him as a manager but I don't think he undermined him or anything.

What would be the purpose of going to a local park rather than the training ground?

Either Rio is lying or Moyes is a strange man.

Not that I support Rio on this but it's like saying one doesn't like porn because it's too much nudity? C'mon
 ... but You could write a book like that yourself and cash in. Let me show you, just repeat after me:

'Moyes is shit.'

'He's a joke'.

'David Moyes is a boring git without a tactic.'

'Manchester United was playing so bad it makes me feel bad even for David Moyes'.

Some of the stuff that Rio mentions is absolutely shocking from Moyes. Surely this is the final nail in the coffin on Moyes' tenure for those who still feel Moyes was wronged in his sacking last season.

Normally I don't agree with players coming out and cleans their laundry, but in this case, thank god for them. If it weren't for some of them coming out and vindicating our fear, we might still have David Moyes at the helm ... /shudder

A very harsh from Rio I would say. If it's other people, I will say "watch your tongue punk"

But since it's from Rio Ferdinand, so I don't care about his harsh comments on Moyes. He was just too upset on Moyes, I understand his feeling.

Re the park

IMO Moyes is simply trying all sorts of management skills he can find, you know all those extra titbits in Management book of having them playing exposed to raise their morale, and all sorts of big corp. mumbo jumbo to motivate their employee.

Are people surprised at his comments? He needs to stir up controversy to sell his book.

I wonder what the Moyes apologists will think of this. Somehow find a way to blame last year on the players/Ed Woodward?

Yeah true. Obviously going after Moyes would be the best way to gather some media attention.

EDIT: not to say that Rio is lying though.

Seems like an equal share of revelation and pettiness. I don't doubt what he said is factually accurate but the article reads like the diary entry of an egomaniac.

Im just so glad the club acted quick on this one and gave Big Dave his P45, I was really preparing myself of 3 years of getting to the By-line and dreading games against relegation candidates at home, it really is such a relief hes gone, I can not think of even one redeeming quality of his tenure that would of required us to give him another couple of seasons to build on, the fact that LVG just commands respect and seems like such a leader of men already gives me more hope than I ever had in Moyes

Also didnt Moyes get the sack a couple of hours after returning home from Munich? maybe his public training sessions were his final straw
