We're controlling the game and finishing very well, which is all down to us imo.

Exactly it was the same at WHL but we didn't scored when we should have and Monday against Arsenal we were good in the first half but didn't scored when should have.

    Has the penny finally dropped?

Pressing front the front, making Spurs play to our rhythm, quick interchanges and switches of play, defenders taking responsibility for the ball and trying to be proactive. There were signs in the first half on Monday that we were improving. Still, even if Van Gaal's half time substitutions messed up our momentum against Arsenal, no sign that this was going to happen today.

Total domination. I'm shocked. I'm happy. I'm hoping we don't make needless changes at half-time. :p

    Keep going lads!

For me the most enjoyable part is all the players are having a fair share on the ball and visibly want it.

None of this passing for the sake of passing and hiding away.

Spurs tried to press us(it's the Pochettino way) but Carrick and Herrera have been superb in this match. Have found little gaps. Fellaini though has been MoTM.

Amazing half. Everything just went our way. The formation looks normal and we are actually playing with width and confidence.

Fellaini looks like Iniesta out there. Young looks like the second coming of Ronaldo...and of course Wayne Rooney is looking like his old self.

Unbelievable what we can do when we play people in their preferred positions. Even Mata is shaking off the cobwebs. Herrera has been fantastic and his defensive work is so underrated.

 don't know why this made me laugh. LVG has transformed this guy...

I think its down to our collective mentality that we are dominating. I've been waiting for one game that represented a psychological turning point under Van Gaal at some point, and this seems to be it. Whatever he did during the week, its finally working. Spurs are clearly rattled by our confidence, they probably thought they would get a shaken side after our midweek result. Fair play to LvG.
I thought we were good against arsenal too, the result and reaction to that gained the headlines though, this has been coming. Lets hope we can carry on in the second half .

The players are just doing as they've been told, the understanding is there, they know where to be and when, Spurs can't pick them up.

It's more like a Louis van Gaal team, attacking the spaces, the opposition are struggling to defend the spaces because our team is not making the obvious pass, some players are making obvious runs so it looks like they'll receive the pass but another player sneaks into space and he receives the pass.

Outstanding well done lads only one looking a bit shaky was Jones at the start. What a difference with Blind at left back and Carrick in centre mid both excellent today. Blind making intelligent forward runs with great timing (Shaw are you watching) and Carrick playing with his slippers on! Big Fellaini been a right handful today.

    Unbelievable. Brilliant. Exciting. Positive. Sensational.

What the hell has happened to the team we've been watching for two years??!!

Goal before the hour in the second half and it will be a rout. We will probably be fairly reserved and keep it at 3-0 and maybe hit them on the break around 70mins.

Good stuff. Hope that LVG will not make some stupid substitution.
Playing Mata with Herrera has made both of them "tick".
Hope that the midfield and defence stay compact and continue their hard work. Hopefully United will not concede any goal immediately after half time.

This is the kind of mentality I really loath. If you didn't see how and why we are playing so good that made Spurs look clueless, you're clueless yourself. The way we play, the confidence and fluency and purpose, we are like a United team again. Everyone of them is playing well. Yeah, do get carried away, we deserve it. Glory Glory man united.

Calm the feck down!!!. We have played the best football ever. But Your assumption, that we are playing better and that's what is making spurs look clueless is not true. Spurs are not pressing in anyway. We have been always good against teams that give us time and space. And the defending for Rooney's goal was Sunday league quality.

I am not taking anything away from our performance. You can only play what is in front of you. This game is similar to the one we had early in the season against QPR, even though spurs are close to he top 4. I am enjoying us play this way, but all I am saying is that this will not be the norm. Against a Spurs side with a different attitude, the game would have been different...

    100%....goodness...some people are never satisfied...
Plus all the goals are good goals and as a result of very good passing and delivering. It had nothing to do with Spurs playing bad. We were calm, compose and confident. Can you imagine if we played like this a month or two ago? We would be challenging for 2nd or even first, and on way to FA Cup!!!

I'm not saying this because United are up at half. Nor is it because Tottenham gave been shit. But I truly can't figure out why so many people feared this team as well as any other team that's not the chavs.

Its important to note that Spurs have been poor, given us far too much time and space on the ball. But some of that is also down to good performances from the likes of Fellaini, Blind, Young and Rooney

Spurs haven't been great, but I would offer that a lot of this comes down to our passing. I think our movement and precision passing has had Spurs chasing shadows and sprinting around, wasting all of their energy. It isn't easy to keep pressing so hard when your opponents just pass it right through you nearly every time. If you rarely regain the ball after so much effort, your ability and drive to continue dissipates. We have been very dominant. I never saw it coming but I am happy as can be about it.

Hope Van Gaal sticks with this side now and doesn't randomly decided to drop one of our best performers for the next game. Could still easily see him randomly dropping Herrera or Mata for the next game.
