I've been to see PSG twice - he's a good right back that is underrated in my opinion. He'd certainly be a level above Buttner's standard but like Valencia there now, there will always be better options individually. That said, if he can be comfortable on the ball, make supporting runs and refrain from individual errors, he may make a great team player and while the sum of his individual parts may be short, the cohesion he could bring to the team may prove greater.

I hate this "nepotism" like media reporting, like just because LvG is Dutch, he is now linked to every Dutch player around!

But yeah, it's always going to be like that I guess. Manager linked to ex-player(s) shocker.
 
Probably newspaper bullshit but he could be an OK back up for us... That said Rafael and valencia are more than capable so more likley psg want him off their wage bill rather than being a genuine story
 
These rumours are idiotic. Navas + cash for De Gea and now Van Der Wiel + cash for Di Maria. Obviously the media think we're some mugs that would be happy with players that haven't been first choice at their clubs (and obviously aren't good enough for United).

These types of swap + cash deals would be good business for some midtable club that has decided to sell their star player to a bigger club.
 
He is horrendous and in the Barca matches it was always on his side that Barca found openings to dangerous attacks.

A nothing player and rated as a nothing player here in Holland. I doubt this is a serious rumor but if it is then PSG are taking the piss.

He's barely good enough as Valencia's backup.

He's shit. Can't defend to save his life, average at best going forward (good crosser though). No way he's an upgade on what we have.
 
I think he's a tad underrated, he's not bad. Attacking wise he's very good, he's got a great cross. Defensively he's not the best though, therefore I don't think van Gaal will be interested in him. I'd prefer Clyne over him.

vdWiel did confirm 'clubs fighting for the CL from England' (wether that's CL places or the top 4 I'm not sure) have shown interest, but that he rather stays in Paris.

PSG and their owners can feck off if they think they're getting ADM on loan or in a swap deal involving players like VDW. Include Verratti and Marquinhos and we'll talk.
