Just want fuel more anger."According to the Mirror", pretty much guarantees its dodgy.
ValenciaHe's the biggest disgrace to our number 7 shirt, that's for sure.
I'm not sure if you're saying my post was childish or it was a result of the childishness already posted, but it's Human nature for the narrative to change as it has. Previously, he was a weaselly little fecker, but he was our weaselly little fecker. We focused on his positives and ignored his obvious weaselly flaws, now the roles are rightfully reversed with the forum unhappy with his weaselly little ways before/during/upon leaving the club.Haha I love love love this thread, I love how the narrative always changes.
Like if he had decided to stay we would still have sold him,he will succeed in France there is no doubt about that, might even have succeeded here in his second season, but I can understand the nature of your post given the circumstances and the puerile form this whole thread has taken.
I know and I disagree. Valencia gave us decent service overall in his tenure at the club and fought through it and Owen, he was a massive question mark when signing for us. di Maria was signed for a world record fee, started of well, couldn't fight his way back, instead sucked completely and is now leaving after just one season. To me, that's worse than anything Valencia and Owen have done.Valencia
Owen
Both wanted to be here and gave their all for the club. While infinitely less talented (Owen not being in his prime) than Di Maria, they gave far more.Valencia
Owen
By who? When? and what HUGE loss? This is a Bikram yoga stretch or do you actually believe it?I'm not sure if you're saying my post was childish or it was a result of the childishness already posted, but it's Human nature for the narrative to change as it has. He was deemed not good enough for us (so much so we were willing to lose our record signing, after a season, for a huge loss) so he can't then justifiably be used as an example of why another club is so much better than us when they sign him.
The weaselly little fecker.

Wanting to be here and being good in other seasons means absolutely nothing in this context, Di Maria ( in a terrible season) was better than Tony V in the season he wore #7 and Owen in his whole United career. Both wanted to be here and gave their all for the club. While infinitely less talented (Owen not being in his prime) than Di Maria, they gave far more.
By our manager, who- and I know this might surprise you somewhat- knows a great deal more about football/our players than you do. Oh, and the huge loss being about £10-15 million or so (more if it's correct that Real Madrid will get £8 million of it)after ONE season.By who? When? and what HUGE loss? This is a Bikram yoga stretch or do you actually believe it?
The Di Maria of last season? That played with United? You stopped watching in October I assume?Wanting to be here and being good in other seasons means absolutely nothing in this context, Di Maria ( in a terrible season) was better than Tony V in the season he wore #7 and Owen in his whole United career.
Ok man,ok.By our manager, who- and I know this might surprise you somewhat- knows a great deal more about football/our players than you do. Oh, and the huge loss being about £10-15 million or so (more if it's correct that Real Madrid will get £8 million of it)after ONE season.
Absolutely. How some people don't understand that is beyond me.The Di Maria of last season? That played with United? You stopped watching in October I assume?
And wanting to be here and giving your all does mean something. It means something to fans watching you play if you look like you want to win and want the club to do well.
I'll take that as you sheepishly withdrawing but trying to save face, then.Ok man,ok.
It does to me personally. Di Maria is soft, not fighting for his place in the squad, not trying to be the leader of one of the world's biggest clubs, not trying to adapt to the physicality of the BPL. After one tough season, he bails.Wanting to be here and being good in other seasons means absolutely nothing in this context, Di Maria ( in a terrible season) was better than Tony V in the season he wore #7 and Owen in his whole United career.
Angel Di Maria is 'very happy' to join PSG from Manchester United
I like how he said "What I know about PSG...". Clear indication that he is clueless.Di Maria said: “I am very happy to join Paris Saint-Germain. What I know about PSG is that they are a team who have won all possible titles in France last season. They're very important.
"They made it to the quarter-finals of the Champions League so my objective was to arrive to Paris and to help them through the quarter-final barrier, because they have struggled in the past two seasons.
"I will try to do the best I can to help the club in those objectives and reach the final stages of the Champions League."
No, it is me not trying to not waste my time arguing with someone who has convinced himself that United are discarding Di Maria, i mean are we making up scenarios now?I'll take that as you sheepishly withdrawing but trying to save face, then.
If true we'll add that to the De Gea fee, never heard of the clause before though.Madrid gets 8 million for the sale of Di MaríaTweet

Still doesn't mean those players were better #7's.The Di Maria of last season? That played with United? You stopped watching in October I assume?

The statement was "Biggest disgrace to the #7 shirt"Still doesn't mean those players were better #7's.

It would seem that way, yeah. You're being quite uncreative with it though. No, it is me not trying to not waste my time arguing with someone who has convinced himself that United are discarding Di Maria, i mean are we making up scenarios now?
Yes, and my argument was that those players also brought a lot of shame to that #7 jersey. The statement was "Biggest disgrace to the #7 shirt"
Not only that, you're playing in the PL for christ sake. Prestigious matches against City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, Liverpool with the huge media attention behind it. How can you not want to be a part of that or at least try to do your best when you're a professional footballer?Hang on, why should anyone else shoulder even a portion of the blame when Di Maria himself looked half arsed for more than half of the season? I don't get it, you ought to've pride in your work whether you're doing it for yourself, getting paid peanuts or like ADM earning astronomical wages. It's also very self gratifying. Perhaps I'm on a different wavelength. Or something.
Nah. They weren't good enough and shouldn't have been given the jersey, but neither brought shame to it. Both gave everything and both gave far more to Man United than Di Maria has. Neither were a disgrace to the number or to the United jersey.Yes, and my argument was that those players also brought a lot of shame to that #7 jersey.
1.We dropped him for the second half of the season, he was the first person on the team sheet in the first half of the season, up until that game against Arsenal in March. It would seem that way, yeah. You're being quite uncreative with it though.
You might have had an argument had we not dropped him for most of the season. You do remember that? We are absolutely discarding Di Maria, he wouldn't be leaving after a season otherwise.
Have you created a scenario in your head in which he had a great season as a regular starter?
Fair enough man, i agree with your point about giving your all, also think he should have tried harder.Nah. They weren't good enough and shouldn't have been given the jersey, but neither brought shame to it. Both gave everything and both gave far more to Man United than Di Maria has. Neither were a disgrace to the number or to the United jersey.
