Seeing as today is going to get really silly lets have one place where we can discuss all the transfers and potential transfers that will take place today!

BBC Football have pictures of Pogba all over their Transfer Deadline page. As if they're going to sell him today!

Germany's Deadline Day was pretty boring. The poor, yellow dressed Sky commentators didn't know what to talk about, but we all know that the silly money is in the premier league. Expect one more big signing from United and one from Arsenal.

Biggest deals of the window so far:

1 Kevin De Bruyne (Wolfsburg to Manchester City) £55m

2 Raheem Sterling (Liverpool to Manchester City) £49m

3. Christian Benteke (Aston Villa to Liverpool) £32.5m

4. Nicolas Otamendi (Valencia to Manchester City) £32m

5 Memphis Depay (PSV to Manchester United) £31m

6 Roberto Firmino (Hoffenheim to Liverpool) £29m

7 Morgan Schneiderlin (Southampton to Manchester United)£25m

8 Pedro (Barcelona to Chelsea) £21m
Again Memphis was not £31m!

GMT time - is this 1 hour behind British and 2 hours behind central europe time or what?

Dutch sources, who was in the know all the way, claiming €27m rising to €31m. Even the PSV president said that he wished the reports in England about the transfer fee was true.
For what it's worth, I don't believe the BBC but I just copied and pasted that from their transfer deadline page.

So, who's got a trick up their sleeve today?

Arsenal have only signed Cech, Chelsea need a CB desperately, United need a striker desperately and Liverpool/Tottenham need an overhaul. I reckon City are done for this window.

I'm almost certain we will be signing someone else, the squad left is a little too thin me thinks.

WEST HAM ARE SIGNING ADEBAYOR!!!

*Five hours of yellow ticker on ssn, updated total spending for the summer, interviews with Carlton Cole on the phone asking how he will get on*

Sounds like the kind of signing West Ham would make. Can West Ham afford to pay these players wages? They must be banking on a high finish in the league.

Will probably give the Sky Sports clusterf*ck a miss today. It just makes me angry to watch.

There's a startling amount of revisionism from the press and people in the media when it comes to us losing 'top players'. When they mention losing di Maria, yeah, okay I'll accept that. But when they throw RVP and Falcao into the mix they can f*cking do one.

Despite a deflating loss at home to West Ham on Saturday, Liverpool’s summer of incomings can be considered a wholesale success. It was particularly telling that Nathaniel Clyne and James Milner were Brendan Rodgers’ two best players in that Anfield defeat. They, along with Danny Ings, Christian Benteke and Joe Gomez, look to have slotted in comfortably. Gomez, in particular, has surprised everyone. The £29m signing of Roberto Firmino captured the imagination of the Liverpool support and, while he is yet to truly showcase his ability, he looks likely to become a key player. It looks set to be a quiet deadline day for the Reds, though a new left winger would be ideal. Expect a couple of permanent outgoings and loans, while Mamadou Sakho will be one to keep an eye on.

Well, it's their year this year....

I am confident that we will see one big surprise today just becouse we ofloaded so much players in attack and the only one coming our was is a 19 years old kid.

Think this is going to be a quiet one. Most windows are closed which limits options.

We will tie up the Martial deal and try to sort the DDG situation out. Other than that expect nothing from us.

Unfortunately I can see this being the case, with Rooney as our sole senior CF.. I really would like to see us move for another attacker but rumors have dried up

It's a real concern having sold Hernandez and let Januzaj go out on loan. With the money being paid for Martial you've got to think he will start and so we have no options on the bench.

I can't see how we can go from

Rooney, Hernandez, Wilson, Januzaj, Depay & Mata for 3 positions to:

Rooney, Martial, Depay & Mata...

With the amount of games extra this season it gives more minutes to players and requires a bigger squad, we were slightly thin initially in my opinion, I can't see how he can justify making it smaller unless Hernandez etc pushed like hell to get out which I can't imagine.

Everton bought a new defender. Are Chelsea having their way finally with Stones??

wilson... I know there are rumours of him being loaned but its not happened yet.
also LVG seems to think fellaini can play up top (im dubious myself but he seems to think its an option)
and of course if martial is wide and rooney has to come off you can always put mata, young or valencia wide and put martial up top.
My bigger worry would be a long term injury to rooney
