Didn't Cole and Yorke both play for Sunderland at the same time?
Wow, just wow. I didn't realize he existed pre-Wigan.Our very own Tony at Villarreal
Yes, very briefly. Yorke was very good in a central midfield position for us. Less said about Cole, the better!Didn't Cole and Yorke both play for Sunderland at the same time?
Brian Deane also played for Sunderland!^at Blackburn they did.
Phil Babb and Brian Deane at Benfica.
Not surprising considering he played for just about everyone it seems. I remember when the A-League started and he was supposed to be a 'star signing' for Perth Glory, he was utter cack.Brian Deane also played for Sunderland!
good one. it's almost impossible to find any decent picture of him in Bayern's or Liverpool's kit.Alou Diarra / FC Bayern
Wrong.^at Blackburn they did.
Phil Babb and Brian Deane at Benfica.
Ah yes. I was thinking of Michael Thomas.Wrong.
Babb played at Sporting and surprised everyone by actually being very good. He was at the center of our defence with former Ac Milan and Brazilian internacional André Cruz in the last time we were champions. Played around 50 games and scored 2 goals. We tried to renew but he ended up going back to England and joined Sunderland.
Oh yeah that guy played for Benfica. He was terrible and basically everyone made fun of him. Besides Brian Deane, Benfica's british imports were all crap. Mark Pembridge, Dean Saunders, Scott Minto, Steve Harkness and Gary Charles, jesus what an horrible team Benfica had on those daysAh yes. I was thinking of Michael Thomas.
Really? Not that theres anything wrong with that, just........ I feel really oldGary Lineker in Japan takes the prize for me
His brother is a regular at my restaurant (he don't like talking about his Dad or Brother)
Jamie Redknapp Bournemouth
Diego Tristan What a player
Tristan, West Ham.
Ahhh, but he never actually played
Well, he played at least once because I was there in the 80s. I think it was against Bolton.Ahhh, but he never actually played
Now you got me questioning myselfWell, he played at least once because I was there in the 80s. I think it was against Bolton.
I'm sure it was a league cup tie and it seemed to me and my brother at the time that no one would pass the ball to him. I'm gonna have to dig out my old programmes now hahaNow you got me questioning myself
I swear he never appeared for us in a competitive game, but you were there so just my THC riddled memory letting me down.
Na mate, my apologies! He appeared against Bournemouth in the league cup, you win I was actually thinking of David Platt who never made an appearance.I'm sure it was a league cup tie and it seemed to me and my brother at the time that no one would pass the ball to him. I'm gonna have to dig out my old programmes now haha
With hindsight I think it was a mistake letting him go. He was the type of player that United love. But Platt as well.... I forgot about him!Na mate, my apologies! He appeared against Bournemouth in the league cup, you win I was actually thinking of David Platt who never made an appearance.
With Hughes playing in front of him... Missed opportunity...the United way. With hindsight I think it was a mistake letting him go. He was the type of player that United love.
