He's clearly a bit of a bellend. And he's not even that good anyway.

Seems to really lack the professionalism to push on to be as good as he could be. Couple of occasions now he's been in trouble for partying. Still obviously disappointed he didn't declare for Ireland as he'd be good for us, but I don't see him getting anywhere near that English squad unless he massively improves.

Ya never know, he could just be saving himself making excuses and having a granny gate with Ireland. He'll be free to party excuse free during International breaks now he's declared for England.

Could forgive him if he was with a decent looking bird.

You'd assume his dad was on the night out, telling him what drinks he could and couldn't order.

what has he done? my understanding is he went to a club after the loss to everton. the "hippy crack" was done by his mates and not him, nor were there reports of him drinking. Haven't read too much about it though, but if my vague understanding of the situation is correct then what has he really done wrong? not much difference between our lads going on a night out not drinking celebrating Smalling's 26th is there - if none were drinking etc. sure most are given the day off after a match anyway no?

We took him gladly, too late to be bitter now. He was great at underage and arguably improved the lads who played with him. Stop the drama.
Are you the one from the bible?

Clearly Aston villa don't agree with the cafites since they dropped him to the u21 training squad

Can't see him amounting to much in the end

Oh Grealish is a wa**er,
He wears a wa**er's hat,
He could have played for Ireland,
But didn't fancy that,
He chose to play for England,
And sing God Save The Queen,
So feck off Jacky Grealish,
Come on you boys in green.

Footballers are quite thick..surely you know that such a high paying job entails a certain level of professionalism.
Denis Law wrote about his time in Italy in the early 60s. During their leisure time, the players were expected to be well-dressed and comport themselves as ambassadors for the club and the game. Any shenanigans was frowned on and resulted in a heavy fine and being dropped. A club is right to impose standards on players both on and off the pitch.

rightfully so, with the level of PR required for any globally recognized brand (premiership clubs fit that billing)

The kid isnt smart at all. With his name in the papers in the past year, surely he'd be better served to keep his head down and just work hard.

Young 20 year old man in going out on a Saturday night shocker. Is he only allowed out when Villa win cos if that's the case he'd get out about once a year!
He's not just a normal 20 year old man though, is he? The wages he's on and the money fans pay to go support his team demands a certain amount of professionalism. It doesn't reflect well on him at all.

The wages he's on and the money the fans pay demands he doesn't miss training and doesn't miss games. It says nothing about him going out when he's free to do so. It would only reflect poorly if he was doing something he shouldn't be such as drugs, or if he's missing training or games due to him going out. That doesn't seem to be the case and he's being unfairly victimised. But, he should know better due to the previous incident and the attention that got.

Looking at Villa forums he's not been great this season but i don't think that just because he's having a sub-par season he can't do what many other people do in the world.

At very least he should be showing a lot more cop on. Going out after getting beat 4 nil does not look good.

Well Bale had a similar statistic and then........

Anyway Grealish is in the U21 squad for the Toulon Tournament.
Well he is not anywhere near Bale in terms of talent, that's for certain.

Cant believe that one goal and had a few decent performances and he was set for an England cap.
Ridiculous approach from the English.

I think Bale just wasn't involved in a winning side. He didn't lose every single game he played in.

I know therefore i have said "similar statistic" ;)
The Aston Villa side is totally awful so no surprise they have lost 27 matches.
Bale wasn't involved in an Tottenham league win in his first 24 games (8 draws and 16 defeats) and that Tottenham teams weren't nowhere near so bad.

Be very interesting if he applies himself in the Championship or someone snaps him up for the homegrown quota, a la Pat Roberts. I think he's better off staying, personally.

It would be good if he got a Nigel pearson style manager; who'd take none of his crap. Keep him grounded
