Its funny reading this thread. People throwing their toys out in the first pre-season game.
But we're doomed! I can't see any way to save our season it's time woody got his act together and started spending!

Herrera will never fool me again. he is the most useless leader out of all our average players. He just adds no quality to our midfield.
Get a grip its pre season.

Mkhitaryan has been a disappointment in the left so far.

Depay doesn't know what he's doing, no routines playing as a forward.

Midfield also a bit underperforming. Blind and Herrera not having good chemistry and look lost surround by fast Dortmund players.
Have they ever played well together? I thought it was Carrick/Herrera and funny enough Fellaini who did well.

Sick of seeing Phil Jones to be honest. He is a complete donkey.

I feel that not signing a proper holding player \ DM might come back to bite us in the ass.

Why we didn't go in for that Krychowiak guy I will never understand.

If you saw Auba out on the street wouldn't you think he was homeless? His haircut really doesn't make him look like a professional football player.

I'd be damn worried if this was our first team. But even if its a friendly, some players (Memphis being of them) look like they are asking to be transferred this transfer window.

It's sad really how poor our squad has become. Aside from the new players, Shaw and Blind, I have major doubts about every other player out there right now.
The midfield just isn't balanced, Mourinho wants to see what people are made of in pre-season.

There's no holding midfielder in there, Herrera and Mkhitaryan do similar roles so it's hard to see what will happen, there's no striker either Depay is playing as the leading role.

Bailly has been good, Shaw has been good considering he's coming back.

Having the first selection of midfielder would change this game but they have had a long Euro campaign and aren't ready to join the tour.

They have played like 3/4 more games than us. They were always going to dominate

certainly not talking about this moment, once he drove with the ball forward only to misplace quite easy pass, he looks too similar to smalling..
So your post who was general, was infact about one occurrence? Come on mate.:)

After all these years, I fail to see the point of these tours. The crowd don't get to see the players they expect, the team that turns out is devoid of anyone who played in the Euros/WC and it's miles from home so the players have to adapt to at least two long flights. I nkow the club makes money but blah blah. I'd hoped they were a thing of the past after Fergie exploded when Scholes got sent off in one and was banned for the start of the seasonn the games are mega dull
How are Asian fans going to see these teams otherwise? I'm sure the fans rather see this than nothing at all.
It's not like both teams are playing the kids either. Aubameyang, Mata, Dembele, Kagawa, Mkhitaryan etc.. there are plenty of (more or less) high profile players on the pitch.

Best thing so far about this game is the clear cut evidence that Phil Jones is shite.

Paddy's obviously fascinated by the fact that Aubameyang hit that penalty straight in the middle of the goal. Has he mentioned it, what, four times now?

should've never sacked van Gaal. His first season here we steam rolled teams during pre season. And we carried that over to actual competition right fellas?

Shaken, and very stirred......
I think there is no doubt that for Jose any player not pulling out the stops to prove themselves during this tour will be out on his ear. Having said that, has anyone here played in heat of 41 degrees.....I'm more worried a player is going to collapse on either side. Mental to play in this heat.

What do you mean Bilbao, we even beat them!!
Sorry, didn't mean it like that. Forget the word "even". I meant that even though Barca had a great season winning the double, they weren't that great in pre-season and at the start of the season, losing against teams they should have won.

I've been hearing this since our 2013 terrible pre-season with Moyes.
Well it's true. Jose's been our manager for what, three weeks? We're not even playing our first team we have Memphis up front, Blind in midfield who probably wont even be here when the season starts and Johnstone in goal. Not to mention the weather over in China and Dortmund are ahead of us in preparation.

They also have an absolutely world class striker playing, who will scare the life out of our defence at this stage of their preparations. We have Memphis up front.
