The forgotten man. Fresh reports are linking him to a serie A move. How much can United get for him? Not much

£15 million would be decent.

Shame though he started fantastic then i don't know what happened to him maybe he got vangaaled like others did but he still has a lot to offer the club. Rather keep him at the club over rojo who is complete dog turd.

Doubt we'll get as much as that. We only paid £12m for him.

I think we can recoup our money for him. Wouldn't be keen on loaning him out, I'd rather keep him for back-up if that is the only option.

Would it be possible to keep transfer speculation etc. to the relevant thread in the Transfer Forum? It makes the forum incredibly hard to use when almost anything related to a player goes in their performance thread (Darmian hasn't yet played a game this season).

It'd be a shame to see him go. He started very well, but never recovered from his dip in form around Shaw's injury.

I'd also say Van Gaal's shite management played a part in his poor performances. I remember Darmian having a great game (he even scored a goal) towards the end of the season, but was benched by Van Gaal in the next game.

Don't know how a player's supposed to gain some confidence this way.

I'd keep him. He's not too dissimilar to Azpilicueta, and Jose did wonders with him

We should get our money back, I'd give him another season but Mourinho doesn't seem to fancy him. Shame, he had an excellent start.

He started well, as in had 3 or 4 good games. That's basically it for last season.

He had 4 good games while everyone was building fitness and rythum and then never got up to pace with the English game.

I loved the look of Darmian after his first few games. Extremely disappointed by his decline in form

I think he could easily be a backup player. There isn't a real need to get rid of him unless Jose thinks he's holding back young players that are ready. I don't know if I feel comfortable with only Valencia as the recognized right back. We'll see what Jose does.

Thin RB options. Not a fan of shipping players out after just one season, especially when the manager himself was sacked. Saying that though, after the pre season hype and few good games, he has been extremely average.

Pity it didn't work out, I was really excited by him at the start of last season. However, I'd rather see TFM get minutes at RB than Darmian so it's all good.

One of six I expect to go between now and next summer not including Bastian. I guess TFM will be the back-up to Valencia.

Would be very surprised if we got rid of him after 1 season, we know defenders can take time to settle. Perhaps he just wants to leave but it doesn't seem that way.

I would personally have him as our 2nd choice left back, but I guess he wants first team footy.

To be fair I'd rather invest time in Fosu-Mensah and Borthwick-Jackson than Darmian.

Darmian
Bastian
Rojo
Jones
Young?

Pereira?
Not including Bastian as he's pretty much gone and no youth players either as they aren't in the 23 which will be shaved to 20 plus 3 more to make way for signings next summer.

The bolded 4 plus 2 from Memphis, Mata, Fellaini and Schneiderlin.

So Valencia and TFM would be our RB options?

I would be okay with that.

I've been very disappointed with him but we're very light in the fullback department especially considering he's can play in both fullback positions.

I'd rather sell Rojo but if he's refusing to move on then there's not a lot we can do.

I am pretty sure he is one of the 23 players José has identified who will remain with United this year. After the outgoings it's pretty obvious that only BFS is the one who is leaving. UNLESS someone else comes in.

I dont think we have sufficient depth to offload him. It would also be very inpatient to offload so quickly, sometimes it happens that players just cant adapt but he deserves another chance first.

I really doubt Mourinho has made his mind up about him yet. He'll get his chance to prove himself

Really don't see the need to sell him. Unless we get a top offer for him, it's best just to keep him.

Think he's shit so if we can get £6m I would be over the moon. We can get any right back as a backup or even TFM (who I don't rate in that position) and they would do a better job.

Sell him to the highest bidder. Our squad needs trimming and he isn't good enough.

He'll be kept. We need as many players as possible for the mass rotation that will occur for EL and cup games.
We really don't need as many players as possible. Europa league only adds a few more games compared to the CL (assuming we even reach the final) and youngsters can play in the earlier matches. Speaking of youngsters, there's always people on here crying out for the kids to be given a chance. How are they going to be given a chance if we have a massive squad? Jose has never been the kind of manager to massively rotate his teams, which is why he prefers a squad of around 23.

We should be able to get anywhere between £10M - £15M for him. I'm happy if we sell him, don't think he'll ever cut it here.

Cant see him leaving. He started excellently so the ability is in there, Jose just needs to coach it out of him after he declined hugely from mid season last year. Valencia is 31 and can't be relied on in games where we are under the kosh, or for the sheer volume of minutes we need.
