Deadline Day

At this point I'd be surprised if there's any activity from us beyond a young player or two going out on loan. But for the first time in years I don't care. I'm happy with our squad.

Who's this Mbappe that city have apparently bid for? 17 years old and £38M

If Darmian leaves i expect us to get Fabinho

But i think we will be quiet outside of a few loan deals here and there

Rojo out and Fabinho in.

Also some out of the blue exciting young attacking prospect would be nice.

I'm a bit greedy aren't I?

It's odd to actually be satisfied on deadline day. Just hoping for one or two player exits in which case we might need a replacement but not desperate.

Very talented young player. Unfortunately for him started for Monaco's first game of the season and got injured. Was a danger of him leaving for a free this summer (I think) but he signed a new contract a few months ago.

Did very well in the U19 Euros. Second top scorer (Five goals) with France winning the competition.

Cheers will have to look out for him, lets hope Monaco bleed them dry like they did with Martial

Sounds like it isn't happening. Offer was earlier this summer and rejected before City signed Jesus and Sané. No need for him now with the attacking options they have.

Are Leicester really going to spend £70m on two players from Portugal? What a time to be alive.

There's going to be some shocking signings today. Thank feck we're organised this time around.

Hull/Phelan need to get a move on as they need about 6 players if they want to last until December!

If I'm Spurs, Leicester et all I'd be all over our fringe players (Young, Schneider, Jones etc) - and maybe mid-table too. Slap in huge bids. Am surprised.

Any chance of us letting Jonesy go before the window shuts? Maybe on loan?

Prefer to sell Rojo and keep Jones, but hey, I think it's more likely we could interest Wenger in a case of the clap than sell Rojo at the moment.

Apparently Axel Witsel has left our training facilities to fly to Turin and finalize his Juventus deal.

Bit boring not being involved in this window's deadline day.
Would like to see which CB Chelsea end up with?

Only one we would be interested in would be Schneider and we already got turned down in past year.

Loaning out Jones would be a good move, provided we include a recall clause to offset our annual defensive crisis.

Wilfred Bony has turned up at Stoke's training ground, so looks like he could be on his way. Wonder what will happen with Berahino?
WBA have really bollocked the Berahino situation. Probably should've moved last season, and still haven't brought another striker in, although maybe Jay Rodriguez could come in on loan, but a bit too late if you ask me. Of course, everyone & their mother is doing late business, so you never know. All the money being bantered about so late just hives me a headache.

I'm delighted not to be involved. Why? I just think of Fellaini on deadline day. Not that he hasn't done well for us, but that was grim as feck at the time. I also think of Arsenal when I think of this day, panic buying in the dying seconds.

Sky Sports News is terrible. The cringe level is only going to get higher once Jim White arrives.

Never been less excited about deadline day.
We're done, not going to have any players coming in.
I won't be surprised if Rojo, Jones or Schweinsteiger leaves, and maybe a toungster go out on loan, but nothing big that will affect our main squad.

Clubs waiting for deadline day are stupid, so much better to get the business done early, so the team is ready when the season starts.
And i don't understand why clubs sell their top players the last couple hours of the window, when they basically have no time to replace them.

Don't tune into Talksport from Monday as he is taking over the Colin Murray slot at 10 o'clock.

Urgh what's his appeal exactly I fail to see it, I guess some people like him as he always fronts deadline day but I just hate his Scottish shouty voice he puts on, as I said you can tell he loves himself too.

So far not even switched TV on today so not long to go...

Everything very quiet at OT, eh? Much as I was pleased that we got our transfers wrapped up in plenty of time for once, I can't help feeling a bit left out by our lack of involvement in official muppet day!

West Bromwich looking to sign 4 or 5 players today. Wonder what the feck they've been doing all summer.

@Sly how good is Adrien Silva?

He's very good. One of the most influencial players in our Team and our captain. But he's not worth the releases clause. If Leicester indeed pays 45 million euros, there will be no sorrow or regrets. It would be a great deal for us

Yeah, I do kind of miss the excitement of deadline day this year. I also don't think we're as strong as we could be, so a small bolstering signing or two would have been nice...

Any sex toy assaults today?
no they (sadly) keep the sky correspondents well away from the general public now - shame as it made it far more entertaining.

players can still go on loan after the deadline day or did they change that?
