Boyhood United fan and hasn't made any secret about it.
Mourinho was also constantly linked at Chelsea. I have no doubt that if he chose to leave Atletico, we'd be front of the queue.
 
Yeah, I also can't see him heading anywhere but United if he decides to leave. He's pretty much this era's Rooney isn't he?
 
Good mates with Pogba too, I'm calling this as the Summer 2017 transfer saga.

Are you not fatigued by transfer stuff? I feel like I need a 6 month hibernation before even thinking off that stuff again.

At it's peak, I was checking the Pogba thread about 50 times a day - no joke, it killed me and just thinking about those dark days is exhausting and depressing!
 
Nevermind the source, I pretty much think it is a no brainer that we'll at least try for Griezmann next summer. For a player of his stature he's got a low-ish release clause and no disrespect to Atletico - he should be at a bigger club imo.

This is probably come about because we just signed an Atletico scout
 
With our sudden transformation into a squad half full of giants, his stature wouldn't be a problem. A perfect replacement for Rooney, and I'd love to continue adding to our French contingent.

Not that I'm all that attached to France, but they have quite a bit of talent coming up through the ranks these days.

No, it's not confirmed. He said that as a kid he supported Marseille and Beckham was his idol. Now he says that he supports Atletico and Real Sociedad but follows United.

Big transfers like this are sometimes a year even two years in the making.

Would be very surprised if he hasn't at least been sounded out about a possible future move.

Think we'll go balls out for him (or even Neymar) sooner rather than later, to phase out Rooney and prepare for life after Zlatan too.

Hello future muppets of 2017! Can't believe Griezmann has signed. It's been long and drawn out but glad we got it over the line after winning the league!
