I don't find the whole track as impressive as I hoped it would be but Kendrick's shit is on fire again, those quadruple rhymes are fantastic here, done very similiar job on That Part remix.

What else do you expect from a biter who even bit a Quavo lyric for his album title?
I was at least hoping for an Antidote-esque banger, ah well, we'll always have Days Before Rodeo.
Is it me or Isaiah Rashad tries too hard to sound like Kendrick?
Not for me. I don't think people would compare them as much if they weren't labelmates.

Anyone been listening to this new Danny Brown album? By far my favourite hip-hop album of the year, everything about it is so unique.

I can't stop listening to Lloyd Banks' new mixtape.

One of the most consistent emcees in the genre today. And he's only getting better. Probably the best rapper out of the G-Unit scion right now (not saying too much, but still).

'All of Me' is a classic. I went through a Budden phase around the time MM3 dropped as there was so much hype around it, but stopped listening to him after that.

Didn't want to start a new thread and it's been a while since this one has been bumped especially considering the amount of decent "commercial hip hop" that's out right now. I have been debating this opinion for a while but I think the Migos are by far some of the best rappers out right now. There are some people who agree with me but there are some people I know who won't even give their shit a listen but still say they wack :lol:. I mean have you guys been hearing the hooks Quavo has been riding over the past 2 years at least? Offset best lyricist and my favourite in the group & Takeoff has the best flow. I get that they won't be everyones cup of tea but they deserve their props. Any fans/casual listeners have an opinion on them? I do also listen to more substance filled music btw before anyone starts :D.

Any tracks you recommend listening to? I've heard a few Quavo features and he generally steals the show, but I haven't jumped in any further than that.

Migos are probably among the best out of the new wave of 'rappers'.

I personally only have an issue with them being labelled rappers, it's urban music but would I call it hip-hop? Nope. A sub-genre of rap, sure.

Also any songs you can recommend i'm open to listening to, I generally listen to a few songs on a mixtape and can't get into any of it.

Good post and I agree with you. Only thing is though they are not even new rappers these guys have 3/4 welll loved mixtapes and have been doing it since around 2011 and it's annoying how there are trash rappers like that Future clone who blow up over one fecking track, whilst it took these lot around 4 years even though they were in the scene. Don't get me wrong though I can see why they wouldn't be to everyones liking. Hip hop fans nowadays like to listen to the more meaningful stuff like Kendrick which I do to, but I can't be listening to poetic justice whilst running on a treadmill. I'd say some of their best tracks are 'Struggle', 'Antidope', 'Migo Origin', 'can't go out sad' and 'Migo dreams ft Meek Mill'. Give these a listen. @bleezy.

Les Migos are dope. Very few artists in the genre can match the energy they bring to any song they own or are featured on. No Label 2 and YRN2 stay on regular rotation for me; ideal before a night out on the town. Their ad-libs are hilarious too.

Also important to note how many artists they have influenced in the game today. I like 21 Savage and his latest tape with Metro Boomin but you see the lineage on it.

On the bolded, it's about balance; that's what Hectic's thread is for :D

Edit: On Plan B, the opening line is...

I gave a bitch a Plan B

Ad-lib: Open your mouth

Oh yeah I definitely agree, I was just saying in the Kendrick lamar thread that there are certain tracks by him that I will skip every time unless i'm in the mood for it, and hip-hop definitely can't only be filled with Kendrick-esque rappers, the same way we have "backpack" "underground" "freestyle" "battle" rap, there should def be a sub genre for this wave.
Thanks for the songs, I'll check em out at the gym tomorrow
