a win against hull puts MUFC 3 points behind second.

If we play the same BS we did against pool/stoke we deserve to miss out on top 4. This is a perfect chance, hit the ground running, put the game to bed before HT.

We can't turn into arsenal and bottle every chance we get. Teams above us are bleeding points, we need to capitalise.

Pogba better turn up this game. I wouldn't be surprised to see us draw this game given the questionable mentality of some of our players but equally not winning would be an absolute travesty.

Whenever others have dropped points, we have managed to screw up that opportunity.
Hope we do something different this time around and move ahead.

Hope City lose (as usual) as moving up a place could be just the tonic we need to really push on. No matter what we've done recently, we're still in 6th. That is also the only thing the scousers can have a go about us at the moment. I'd love to knock them off their fecking 4th place perch. And you can print that.

I just saw todays results, wow. We have to win tomorrow and take this chance to close the gap. A win takes us 3 points from 2nd.

Hull's deadline day signings (all should be available for tonight):

I think we should go with 3 at the back from the start and just load the frontline with as many attacking players as we can. Let's smash this lot. We have a nice run of fixtures in the league and must start getting points on board because the run in will be brutal.

    De Gea
    Valencia Jones Rojo Blind
    Carrick
    Herrera Pogba
    Young Ibra Martial

Only Carrick questionable - will he be given a chance to see put things straight? Or maybe Fellaini was subbed early last game to keep him fresh for this.
Changing team prediction again as the Harsh One has dropped Martial for making two many assists and having his goal disallowed.

    De Gea
    Valencia Jones Rojo Young
    Carrick
    Herrera Pogba
    Mhki Ibra Rashford

I'm not one for an overstatement so I wouldn't use the term 'season defining' but this is a massive chance to reel everyone in and firmly put us back in the CL places. A blow up by the blue shite would also be most welcome.

Golden opportunity to close the gap.

Must win this game and we really need to come out firing. Can't give Hull any confidence they can nick a point.

Another opportunity to further narrow the gap and put some more pressure on those above us. We can't squander yet another chance.

Think you are spot on there though I would expect Blind or Darmian ahead of Young. I think this is the sort of game that Pogba-Herrera should be able to handle themselves and would play Mata over Carrick, we are likely to have 70% possession.

Couldn't have really asked for better results than last night, maybe a Chelsea win but a very good night overall providing we do our job tonight. A good West Ham performance would be nice too.

Genuinely feel we will put 3 past them tonight. Miki needs a goal and will get it!
if we look as pedestrian as we did against stoke, we will need miki to grab the game and win it for us. No more zlatan saving us last minute for draws.

    Valencia - Jones - Rojo - Blind
    Herrera - Pogba
    Rashford - Mkhitaryan - Martial
    Zlatan

Think that's what we will play.

and for showing insufficient teeth when smiling.

I am assuming Darmian will play, what with his links to the mafia.

I hate to place that much importance one one player but I tend to agree with this. Martial has been the spark for us recently. Seems insane that Jose's still messing him about. According to Jose he did enough against Wigan to earn a place on the bench. 2 assists get's you dropped at the moment if your name is Anthony Martial.
Ffs, is this for real? No wonder Martial always looks pissed, I think that's how I'm going to be this evening if he's not in the starting 11.

Grosicki is not a bad player based on a few showings for Poland.

I think it will actually have done us good to have played Hull last week and not performed. No one will go into the game thinking it will be easy and Mourinho has had a chance to look at what we didn't do well and change it for this one.

I think we will win this by a couple but could do with an early goal.

I hope we actually get off to a good start, sick of the slow starts. We better win this or there will be anger.

Smash them! Don't know why but I'm unusually optimistic for this one. Think they could get a thrashing tonight.
