I watched the first couple of episodes of this and never went back to it. Have never really felt compelled to. Should I?
Season 3 and 4 are on par with Game of thrones 5 and 6 IMO. One of the best things on tv

I only watched 1 episode after someone told me there's this huge amazing battle. I was quite disappointed when it turned out it was 20 people attacking some small barn.

I was sold with the Monastery attack... so raw.

Get to shore, get weapons in hand, attack and kill everything that moves (with a smile on face), ask questions later.

I thought that was quite a disappointing death for Ragnar after everything he's done. I hadn't realised it was based on actual myth, so I'll give it a pass.

Not sure how the show will cope without him though. I worry they're going to overdo it rather than end the show with the end of Ragnar. That said, that would have been a very disappointing end to the entire show.

Also not really happy that Ragnar would hand himself over like that in the first place. Very out of character of him. Surely the small number of vikings that survived could have found and stolen a boat to return home?

The whole point of him going to England again was to die, he had no intention of ever finding a boat and going back, it was all to start something bigger.

Episode 4 (14, whatever) of this latest season was brilliant. Possibly one of my favourite episodes... but then I could happily watch a season of Ragnar and Eckbert talking nonsense at each other.

And watched Episode 5 & 6... Holy feck I love this show. I thought Ragnar's end was brilliant personally... My wife was crying her eyes out.

Yeah me too.

No heroics, no last minute miracle. It was a long sequence and anything crazy could have happened, but it didn't. It was just so sad. Brilliantly done.

And last night's episode to put acceptance and closure to his death was pretty good too. Felt sorry for Lagertha, Ivar and even his other kids.

Indeed, it shows that a hero and a warrior doesn't always die a warriors death. Not going to lie, Linus Roache and his brilliant acting in the episode really made me tear up at the death too.

The ending with Odin was brilliant and slightly heartwrenching.

Why are they still wearing big sheep skins in the south of Spain in summer? They must be fecking boiling.

What a brilliant season this is, although most recent ep was slightly on the weak side. Ivar has been absolutely amazing so far.

Definitely, best one of the four for sure.
Yeah the others haven't been great, hopefully they'll recast Ubbe for future seasons, he's supposed to be one of the most fearsome Vikings ever to have lived. Ivar though... genuinely terrifying!

Haha, he's the softest one of them all, I can't see him being fearsome at all. The others I sort of can because they look weird but not by much.

I skimmed past this last page and noticed a bunch of spoilers... so please be careful.

I stopped watching when Rollo betrayed the Vikings and joined the Frenchs. Was waiting for some episodes to come out so I could resume. How far has it gone?

Wait, you stopped watching halfway through last season and still expect the discussion to be there? Come on son, if it's aired it's fair game to talk about, it's not a spoiler, it's episode discussion.

No discussion for the past few episodes, lame, although i'm guilty myself.

Great finale and i'm happy snake-eye is dead, he was the one brother I didn't like. Ubbe, for me now, is Ragnar, but without the anger outside of battle, he looks like him and acts like him when fighting, they cast him perfectly, i'm glad to see my earlier dislike of his casting has changed

Love Ivar, dude is great.

Sigurd was constantly baiting him, surprised it didn't happen sooner tbh.
They're brothers ffs.

What happens with my shield maiden now? With Bjorn in the Medditeranean, Ivar can easily kill Lagertha.

Very good episode, Ivar's excellent.
Be interesting to see where it goes now.

Was that guy at the end Alfred?

Yeah, but Ivar is unhinged and Sigurd was his main detractor.

I imagine Ivar will stay in England for a while, especially now with Bishop Heahmund being introduced.

Surely Ivar can't just get away with killing someone in cold blood like that. Didn't this entire show start because Lagertha was accused of doing the same to another Viking?

That's my two favourite charcters gone from the show in this one season (potentially 3, as i'm not sure if Rollo is going to show up again...)

Sigurd was one of your favourites? Personally thought he was very dull. I assume you mean Flocki, can't imagine he's out of it for good. Hopefully some interesting characters come in next season. Otherwise Ivar will be basically carrying the series. Bjorn has been used fairly poorly IMO along with Ubbe.

I imagine he means Ragnar and Ecbert.
