Was just chatting with someone about this the other day....

When you think of Queen, which track immediately springs to mind ?

We reduced down to We will rock you, We are the Champions, Bohemian Rhapsody, Somebody to Love, Under Pressure, and Another one bites the dust.

Thoughts ?

Stone Cold Crazy, Tie Your Mother Down, and Innuendo are my favourites. As a band I can just about tolerate them.

Anything after Freddie doesn't count as Queen to me.
I liked Another One Bites The Dust, Fat Bottomed Girls, Flash, We Will Rock You, I Want It All, Stone Cold Crazy, One Vision.
Radio Ga Ga too, always remember my dad playing that a lot when I was little.

I'm not a huge Queen fan but the bit in Under Pressure starting from "insanity laughs under pressure we're cracking" is one of the best parts of any song ever.

The most over rated bands known to man. Freddie has a hell of a voice though to be fair to him.

I actually don't know the name of the song that did come to mind when I saw this thread, but Don't Stop Me Now is one that usually does.

For the music, Highlander film always comes to mind, it was a perfect soundtrack

As performers, their shows at Live Aid or in Montreal - they are timeless

Greatest vocalist of all time by a very clear margin.

His voice annoys me a bit. Good showman, instantly identifiable like all good vocalists, but not the greatest for me.

Fair enough and it's very commendable to admit that you are wrong in this case even if you didn't say as much.

Lots of great Queen songs mentioned here, but the one track which immediately popped into my mind reading the op, was 'the show must go on'.

'Somebody to love' as it was the first record I ever bought. It was about 5p from Mazel Radio near Piccadilly station.

The owner of one of my favourite curry shops over here looks a bit like him, so I always think 'I want some cur-ry!' when I go.

As a kid, I owned all Queen LPs up to Greatest Hits and the Game. Never really got into their mid 80s stuff.

Editing my own posts.
Have everything by Led Zeppelin and then some.
Have albums by the rest.

If I had to rank them.

Led Zeppelin

U2
AC/DC

Guns and Roses.

EDIT:
I would put Queen after U2
If only you could've edited them into your original list somehow.

I love Queen but at the same time its really easy to see how they divide opinion.

Queen II, Sheer Heart Attack and A Night At The Opera is a great run of albums. After that the albums got to be a bit of a mixed bag but I think has at least 1 track that is very well known by even casual music fans (only including albums that were released with Freddie alive)

A Day At the Races: Somebody To love
News of the World: We Will Rock You, We Are the Champions
Jazz: Fat Bottomed Girls, Bicycle race
The Game: Another One Bites The Dust, Crazy little Thing Called Love
Flash Gordon: Flash's Theme
Hot Space: Under Pressure
The Works: Radio Gaga, I Want To Break Free
A Kind of Magic: A Kind of Magic, Who Wants To Live Forever
The Miracle: I Want it All, The Miracle
Innuendo: Innuendo, The Show Must Go On

Blasphemy putting LZ and Queen in the same shit list as U2. Queen is the ultimate road trip band. Put on a best of and you are good to go for a few hours.

U2 is the most overrated band ever. I hate every song, I hate Bono, I hate everyone who likes U2. Kill it with fire!
