I love this, all the hate for the team, for Jose, all the negativity, usually equals winning a game, so keep hating everything and everyone.

This looks like it to me (or Lingard/Young reversed):
    DDG
    Valencia Bailly Rojo Darmian
    Herrera Fellaini
    Pogba
    Lingard Young
    Rashford

Basically a 4-3-3 that will become 6-3-1 for the majority of the match

We have Chelsea at home, City away, Arsenal away, Southampton away, Tottenham away, Burnley away...do you seriously think we can collect enough points to reach top 4 ?
No but a huge win today vs Chelsea might have started that winning run. As I said in my response to other poster Jose look at the form of Liverpool Spurs and city and came to the conclusion that we can't either. No issues with that he is the manager and those 3 teams have started to play well and actually win. Personally I would have started martial over young and lingard in midfield and sit big hair on the bench. Lingard can follow hazard around and Herrera can clean up when necessary. I hope that local united supporters remember that Thursday is coming

Embarrassing line-up. I was actually looking forward to this game, and now I'm not even sure I can be bothered watching it. We better win the Europa...

Jose going for a 0-0. with 5 defenders on this might just work. Bit shitty that we must win this game if we want to have any sniff at a top 4 finish

Extremely risky to throw everything in the Europa league basket
I'm all for throwing all our eggs into the Europa League basket. It's easily our best way of qualifying for the Champions League. We aren't good enough to get top 4 because we win so few games and we have such a hard run in.

However, that is not what Mourinho is doing. He continually said that top 4 was a priority. He obviously doesn't fancy today and is simply getting his excuses in.

    I'm guessing it's

    DDG
    Bailey-Rojo-Darmian
    Valencia-Herrera-Pogba-Young
    Fellaini
    Lingard-Rashford
    Exciting stuff
That's probably the most decent way to go about things with this selection. It is a major problem to have Fellaini in the middle though and Young isn't a reliable outlet, nor Rashford for that matter.

Mourinho is taking the piss if he seriously thinks that is a good lineup.

Looks like Europa is your priority.

Smart move by Mourinho imo. No other manager would have the balls to do that

After the wins of Liverpool and City: we're 7 points behind city with 2 games in hand, and 9 points behind Liverpool with 3 fewer games. Realistically, can we pass these two? Looks very very difficult to me.

Quite righty, Europa should be our priority. Top four was gone weeks ago. Plenty of things to criticise Mourinho for, but this is not one of them.

    Oh jesus.
That line up is crazy. Comes out saying "we're man utd, we try to win everything" then starts games against his old club, who he should be motivated against, with a full on mid table team selection. Pretty sure Jose normally ups his game against people chasing the titles when he's out of the race too.

Unless if course we're going full out counter attack, we've got a fair bit of pace up front for a change. I don't think nicking a win is going to work though, could be another 4-0 in the making if we just let them attack again.

Only option is pressing from the start like we did last time, was working till herera got sent off.

If we had Blind at LB, we could have replicated the Blind-Fellaini-Young left side triumvirate that tore Spurs, Liverpool and City apart in the much heralded 3 game run

    Bloody Darmian ruining everything.

People would still find reason to moan, like , José had no intention of winning with that line up ect, he got lucky blah blah.

Herrera will be running around like a blue arsed fly trying to cover every blade of grass in that midfield.
Exactly. I'd rather have Carrick behind Herrera and Pogba. And how can he leave Mhki out it just makes no sense.

I miss those days when Rui Faria was our manager. We played exciting, attacking football. I miss you Rui!

What's with all the moaning? Weren't most of you advocating him rest players and focus on the Europa League? Exactly what he's done.

The same people chucking a hissy fit about the line up are the same that would whinge about players looking tired on thursday.

The team needs to be thoroughly rotated. We have a game today, thursday and Sunday. Who are these magic world class squad players that jose should be selecting? This is the fecking squad, are we really bitching because he's using them?

That 3 game run will go down in folk-lore
What people forget is that we then played the next 6 games and scored 3 goals.
