I credit Moyes with nothing, Fellaini has blown hot and cold during his 4 years here and was way overpriced for what he is and we paid millions more than we could have got him for just a few weeks before but Moyes let his release clause expire. Moyes was terrible in every aspect of his job at United transfer market in particular. We needed key positions strengthened and he bought two no10s one of the few positions we were stacked in and then had no idea how to use them.

If Mourinho had decided he didn't want Fellaini last summer or over the first half of the season this he could have got rid of him and kept either of these players. He didn't because he clearly rates Fellaini.
Imagine if Moyes and Sunderland fought their way up to 17th, only to play us on the final day of the season. Would love for us to be the ones to relegate them and their fans.
Im sure he/they would also relish the chance to deprive us of coming 4th as well.

Well I was talking how Sam would have kept Sunderland up with ease, had he not left them. Not sure how he'd had done with United job. I'm pretty sure he'd have done much better than Moyes. Least Sam has a clear way of playing football even if it is route one. Also, I'm pretty sure he'd have realized the magnitude of the job unlike Moyes who was completely ignorant and a buffoon.

I actually think, given the specifics of that squad Fergie left behind, that Allardyce would've done alright if given the job.

I think so too. And I'm not saying that Sam should have been given the job. None of them should have but I agree with what you're saying. I doubt we would have heard defeatist attitude from Sam.
In hindsight he was as qualified and as suitable as Moyes for the job. I think Sam would have done better than Moyes as well.
