Strange cause I think he has had a really poor half. Part in both of the goals.
Just as with Lukaku though it is just the first game and don't matter at all in the long run.

Based on the second half, Jose will have some leverage over the players. It's all about fitness, but it hasn't been a great performance. Lots of new / young players, so you can't read too much into it, though.

Lukaku had a terrible game. Let's just put it down to fitness.
Same for TFM, Bailly and Joel.
Rashford, Martial, Lingard, Lindelof, Mkhi and Pereira all looked class.

I'd take this if it means we don't pull a LVG and blast away all teams in the pre-season only to fall flat when the season starts.
Yeah Martial basically gave Luk the cold shoulder the whole half.
Lukaku and Lindelof looked out of synch with the team. Seems they need more time to be integrated in our system and good they joined us early.
Other than this, it was an enjoyable match.

Second half was pretty disappointing, but it's preseason. Liked what I saw from Pereira and Mkhi. Lindelof and Lukaku both had pretty poor halves though. Plenty of time to get back into form before the season starts
Lukaku has had maybe 7 days training with the team? Not surprising he was out of sync at times
I am deadly serious.
Last season our main problem was converting chances and this has not been addressed in the Summer.
Lukaku is a straight replacement for Ibra.

You can't take much out of the first game of pre-season but of all those you mentioned this was probably the only slightly concerning performance. The others looked unfit, his reaction to the second was non-existent.
Martial and Rashford outshining Lukaku but having the benefit of greater familiarity. Will take some practice to develop some understanding of how to play with Lukaku.
TFM doesn't look like a defender to me. Maybe try him as a winger just to utilise that pace of his? Not sure he will make it here and should probably loaned as he badly needs some games where he can learn his trade.
Pereira was highlight of 2nd half, that and Martial's effort. Pogba was Pogba as per usual, just class.

Boy I can see myself spending less time on here this season already. The vultures are already circling for Luk in Pre-season?
First half was good. 2nd half was a lot poorer with Martial the standout performer. Bailly was very poor.
Not that impressed with lukaku, but he has so much time to improve. Mourinho must have been watching the wrong game when he said that he played better than the players who scored goals. Sad
