I haven't watched the u23s much this season, but isn't that a problem of the current u23s? Feels like Buffonge for example is on the bench a lot and not getting playing time.
Yep Buffonge should really be playing. One of very few of the U23s that have a chance if making it here IMO.

That starting 11 has got to be one of the most uninspiring, negative minded teams our reserves/23's have ever fielded. Sbragias doing the club no good atall picking teams like that.

What a horrible line-up.

I remember a few years ago the reserves were my favourite United team to watch. Since then it’s typically been a team of 7 or more defenders in it.

There really aren't many players in this side who is anywhere near being good enough.

Honestly I'm glad I didn't go tonight but only regret is not watching Gomes. Been on 5 mins and seen more quality than last 70mins.

Honestly, I think I can gather a few mates and we can take on this United side.

looks like they've never seen people passing and running with a ball

Get the likes of Gomes, Gribbin, Boonen, and Buffonge playing together and we will improve tenfold.

You just know he'll have Scott and Redmond behind them and they wont see the ball.

Honestly this team is void of quality and zero players that even close to the first team. My faith is in the U18's who have some serious quality.

Is Buffonge injured? Where is Callum Whelan? They are far more talented than the midfield two that played tonight.

Yeh what has happened to Callum whealen? Was very good last year. Buffonge not playing at all is also baffling.

I guess we will see much more of U18 kids playing for U23 team in the spring, but honestly do not see the point if they will play just as the part of the squad full of defenders playing in the midfield. Our defence is so so, with Tuanzebe instead of Ercolani for example it would be OK, but midfield is disaster. None of those in the midfield even close to securing League Two loan. Probably playing all U18 kids like Boonen, Barlow, DJB, Gribbin, Chong, with Wilson upfront would be much better option.

Lets see who will be loaned out in January, but hopefully much more of the U19 guys in U23, just to play together, who cares about results.

The team is pretty average, we can all agree on that. But what happened to Ro-Shaun Williams? Not been very good this season, and that's me being kind.

None of Boonen, Buffonge or Gribbin are u18. But yes they should be playing over shit like Redmond, Olosunde etc.

I rated him over Axel. At 16 he was absolutely bossing it. Horrible injury last year unfortunately. I don't know what's going on. But then I also think Axel has looked pretty bad in certain games even and Warren who was highly rated has looked horrible too. So not sure what is going on with the lot of them. I guess the shit CMs in front of them don't help.

Tbf we were without Kehinde, Gribbin, Dearnley who are key attacking players.

Sbragias just can't play the better talents and get results at the same time. Buffonge, Boonen etc has been dropped from the XI after those poor results at the start of the season and spent all their time on the bench since. Same with Warren since Ercolani came to the team. Whelan and Kenyon, both decent players are suffering from the fact that there are too many players in front of them in the queue.

I would release Redmond tbh.

I can't understand why Redmond is still at the club. As a first year scholar he showed brief glimpses that he could make a decent career for himself but second year onwards he's been utterly terrible.

I can't remember a time when there were so many young players at the club who don't seem to have a good chance of making it. Clearout needed.

The u18 group is much more promising thankfully.

With Gribbin, Dearnley, Gomes, Wilson (and Williams if he finds form) etc in the squad it should be one of our best squads I can remember. They're all top talents. The problem seems to be getting them in a team together at the same time.
