Harsh pen, Martial and Rashford are pretty anonymous, we really need to find a solution to our wings.

Rashford has been awful this half.

But we should all remember a lot of this team has not played much together, they're not all going to immediately click together.

Up 2 so cant complain too much. Wasn't great stuff before the first, our midfield was kind of all over the place but good finish by Pogba. Probably shouldnt have been a penalty after that, and I despise Pogbas run up so just for that I wish someone else would take them for us.

Not much else to say tbh. Back 4 look decent individually, but still a lot of space open around there.

    Harsh handball decision. Good strike.

Not a bad half, considering the pitch is made of lego. No one ever knows where the ball is going to bounce.

Not arsed about performance. An away win in Europe is grand no matter how we do it.

Just got out of a meeting - haven't been able to watch the first half. I know we re up 2-0 but how are we looking?
    Comfortable, a little too comfortable.

Tempo a little slow, very few chances being created, but conceding very few chances as well its pedestrian and unlikely to change with us 2-0 up

Pogba and Fred are about equally useless so far but at least the latter runs after his man when he's inevitably dispossessed. Paul takes a second to make a face and flap his hands about before he starts walking back.

    The United way innit.
At least Pogba has a bit of quality on the ball.

Pretty bad until the goal. Some good individual performances, Dalot and Shaw as a pair of attacking full backs could be fantastic and pretty much solves many of our ball playing issues from the back, but the midfield has not worked as a unit. Pitch is causing a lot of problems, weird bounces and traction an issue so being overly harsh would be unnecessary.

The angle of camera was not enough to see it clearly but his right hand was way off the body during the contact.

The pitch is the winner of this match so far. Looks ridiculous. Now we know why we are all so shite on 4G pitches!

I was gutted when I went to a europa league game at OT, just before kickoff I sauntered down to the bar looking forward to a few beers with my mate in the Stretford end.

Came back with coke and an air of disappointment. Are CL the same?
Yeah CL is the same. It's grim. I start feeling hungover from about the 70th minute onwards.

    I am now, yeah.

Martial doesnt deserve to wear a red shirt. Such indifference it's almost a crime.
Fight for your place for crying out loud!

Not a great performance but can't complain about the scoreline at HT. Dalot looks promising, one slip aside and Pogba's first goal was an absolute peach. The penalty was a generous decision, to say the least, but never look a gift horse in the mouth. Mbabu looks a pretty decent player for them at RB.

Scoreline flatters is so far, but hopefully we can go on and out them to bed completely now. Young Boy's were definitely the more dangerous before the first goal. The first goal, what a finish.

    Penalty was incredibly harsh admittedly.

Would anyone mind telling me in a sentence or so how Dalot has played? Been stuck in work :(
Good defensively, good positioning, brave in attack, overlapping, dribbling and trying to put a cross in, has a nice cross on him too.

Not great but we're ahead, should add 3rd to close it. Pogba is taking the game by the neck.

I like Dalot, he should start on the weekend.

People are too harsh on Fred, already writing stuff why did we buy him and he's worse than Ander. I mean, he didn't play much, nice to see fans beings so patient.
Fred looks technically excellent, he just hasn't adapted to the prem yet.

Reminds me of Anderson in his first season.

Quite promising. He's very forward thinking and will be a real weapon down that right flank. He had a couple of decent looking crosses early on as well.

A little bit hesitant in defence on a couple of occasions but nothing too worrying.

Young Boys look a decent side. Sharper than we were until Pogba's first goal. And then a moment of quality changed things.

A great debut for Dalot other than 1 nervous moment, although I do think he was slightly unlucky. His opponent tried to flick the ball up and it luckily rebounded straight into his path smoothly, Dalot tripped and Smalling did well to cover and eventually block the shot. Other than that he's looked quality on the ball, some decent delivery, very positive and defended well in the air. I'm so glad that they gave Valencia the trip off.

I'm not Matic's biggest fan in open play, but he's been valuable today defending set pieces and corners. Has won a few of those to help out.

Still not seeing it with Fred yet. Gives the ball away quite often and leaves us light defensively. Before he signed he looked a bit stronger and more powerful than Ander but he's been just as lightweight tonight, without the tackles, interceptions and spotting danger.

While the penalty was unlucky for Mbamba - who has caused us problems from right back, its also a reward for good play from Shaw. One of his best qualities is his confidence to play the ball first time from a long ball. He takes the long ball and plays a dangerous ball in and the defender denies a good oppertunity, regardless of whether he was trying to do so.

My mum just laughed her head off at that Heineken advert with Pirlo at the door. It's not too bad to be fair.

Thanks. I do wonder if it at least helps a bit we played on artificial in pre season in the US.

Sounds like a poor excuse for missing touches that are easy to make on any pitch, even artificial.
Or you know, a valid reason that's been brought up repeatedly over the last decade or so, with several people calling for it to be banned.
