Just in case anyone missed it. I don't like Mount.

Couldn't care less if a pen or not. I'm happier than a pig in shit being 2 up.

I hate seeing penalties like that given. Soft nonsense call, but referees seem to consistently give those, even with VAR to call on.

    Great for Pogba’s stats though.

Poor decision by the ref to give us a penalty there. That's ball to hand. Unacceptable by the ref. It's one thing to miss a penalty call. You can't give it if you can't see it. But you can't give penalties like that. Don't get me wrong, I will take it. I also won't be surprised if he gives Young Boys a make up call in the second half...on a side note, I hate Pogba's slow walk up. Just run up and kick it hard and low in the corner. If the keeper saves it, then so be it. Milner is probably the best at it right now...

Performance was poor but quality are winning us the game. Pogba turned on when it matters with his 2 goals. Dalot looks extremely promising and I'm willing to give him time.

Martial has become just a nothing player and don't want to be harsh but 2-3 more games and will start to question the investment in Fred. He looks like another Herrera.

Imagine him doing that run up in a Champions League final shootout...

Yeah you can. When you've been playing football for a decade and the ball behaves largely the same way, as soon as it comes at you differently it's difficult to adjust. If our players don't control the ball again for the next hour I won't blame them. It's a disgrace artificial pitches are still allowed at this level. Watch them get absolutely battered away from home.
Sounds like a poor excuse for missing touches that are easy to make on any pitch, even artificial.

Solid half from Smalling and the Iceman. Pogba has been excellent so far. I already want Dalot in place of Valencia every game.

Average half but a good result so far. I just simply don't understand what Martial and Rashford bring to the team. Both are useless.

I'll certainly take that. 2-0 and pretty mediocre performance so far.

World class finish from Pogba and a great penalty. Can't knock it.

Martial or rashford. Think rashford shading it for shitness thus far. Tight contest
    Though.

    Great goal Pogba
Rash looks decent for me atleast helping Dalot cover his wing. Martial, not so much though

Mourinho's first year was the best in terms of style of play where we were lot more proactive with Carrick behind and Herrera pressing . it has gone done ever since we faced city away that season. The amount of space we concede in the midfield any technical team with good use of the ball will have a party time in the middle.

Two things, the game changed completely when Fred moved further up-field and started running with the ball. He acted as the perfect shield for Pogba for the first goal. Was expecting Pogba to do this himself with two defensive midfielders as cover in behind. And sweet Jesus, why does BT have Keown, who openly hates us, as co-commentator? He is almost grinding his teeth when we score!

Not great but we're ahead, should add 3rd to close it. Pogba is taking the game by the neck.

I like Dalot, he should start on the weekend.

People are too harsh on Fred, already writing stuff why did we buy him and he's worse than Ander. I mean, he didn't play much, nice to see fans beings so patient.

Thought the penalty decision was pretty harsh on the young boy.

The amount of times they’ve both made good runs in acres of space and not been found is criminal tho.

Well, shit performance in general, but 2-0 up so we can't complain. Getting the job done is what matters most.

Also, it's never easy to switch from natural grass to a shit synthetic turf, so we have to cut the team some slack.

    Anyone but Rashford
We improved a bit. The pitch seemed to effect us particularly with judging the bounce of the ball.

Pogba the only one who’s really got to grips with it. He’s a class act and was the only players showing signs of hurting them even at 0-0. The criticism he was getting on here was laughable.

Matic, Fred, Rashford, Martial have been unbelievably poor on the ball.

I was saying before the game we never play well when the beloved Martial-Rashford duo play. They don’t offer enough, the former especially.
