So apparently the players tried tonight and we were still terrible.

Figures, of course, because the manager is done here.

Another woeful display. Van Gaal minus Possession.

Mourinho made ONE substitution in a match like this. It's simply crazy.
Luckily for us, Juventus are too strong for anyone in this group, and Valencia and YB are shit, so there is still a chance we'll end up second

Abject and Predictable . The whole team was so poor . Alexis is totally finished while Lukaku is still clapping and encouraging the players to make another opportunity for him to miss . Defensively we had a good game . Offensively it was the same shit . Saddest part is Jose won't be getting sacked anytime soon . I really believe Woodward will keep backing him

How he can play that midfield and expect anything else I do not know. It's not like we lack options there either.

What’s the point in Lukaku? Surely if Jose wants to stay in a job he would at least try dropping the lamp-post bastard. He’s shit in every aspect. His waiting for the ball to come to him routine is really boiling my piss and he just anticipates nothing.

Clean sheet thanks largely to the second worst striker on the pitch tonight. Valencia was dreadful, the player and the team.

Lukaky now 5 without a goal. Last goal was with his belly or knob.

On the upside we didn't lose or concede 3 again. So there's that.

Hoping the players remember how to play football in the coming weeks.

Matic is probably my latest angry obsession. Just can't stand watching the bloke play these days, he's just dreadful. That midfield three is hideous and everything we shouldn't be.

I thought we were okay. But we were effectively blunted by Sanchez's poor form and Rashford's ineffectivity. When you play with two centre midfielders who contribute little to attack, having a couple of your front four being useless neuters your threat.

I think mentally Sanchez is still an Arsenal player and doesn’t want to ‘give the ball away’ to a United player, that’s the only reason I can see in his passing being so woeful.

Terrible game overall. We were shite and so were Valencia, it’s actually the worst thing about this game that Valencia were not good and if you put any half decent team up against them tonight they would have won 3-0 minimum.

I think tonight's game has shown that the players have heart and desire, they chased down the ball and absolutely went for it. Unfortunately they are just not organized as a team going forward with few if any coordinated attacks. Valencia were solid at the back but its clear that we dont have many ideas going forward which is down to coaching not desire or heart its about being able to break down the opponent's defense. I think we've had most of the ball during the game but created very few chances where their keeper was bothered (i can recall only two). Valencia just had to stay there in a low block and be organized defensively, they were absolutely poor going forward and missed many opportunities to create chances and punish us, they are a mediocre side at the moment.

All in all im not surprised by the result and the individual performances of the players have not been enough, its clearly a coaching problem because you could see that players want to play for the shirt but they have no idea what they are doing going forward.

The players responded to the fans a bit which was a relief, other than that though it was boring to watch and as shit as it has been. Jose needs to go and we need a change, a new manager and a director of football would be a much welcomed addition.

2 defensive midfielders for the full 90 minutes really killed us. He should've brought on Fred for Fellaini during the second half, maybe his link up and flair would've created something.

So Mourinho has finally decided that Sanchez deserves to be pushed to the right side but then proceeds to start Rashford on the left.

Why Lingard is being left out suddenly? There was no need for Fellaini today as Valencia didn't offer much threat aerially. It's one bizarre decision after another. We could won this game with a midfield of Matic/Pogba/Lingard and the frontline of Martial/Lukaku/Sanchez.

Mental that you can watch that game and think only one of our players needed replacing.

But then, Jose really doesn't give any shits anymore.

Players were trying. The problem is the lack of cohesion which comes down to coaching. Saw some remnants of something between Martial and Pogba linking up (very briefly), but wondered at that moment how good they and the other attackers would be if we actually had a proper attacking system in play.

Ah well, we didn't lose. Live to fight another day etc etc

Valencia were horrible. First time in a while that haven’t played better football than us.

Shaw was good, Pogba was okay, put a good shift in, Rashy kept trying to make things happen. Sanchez, Lukaku and Matic were awful.
But they did play better football than us.

Knew I made the right choice not watching the second half. For the love of Christ, sack him already, he can take half the team with him.

Some effort shown at least. Shame about the quality. Our defence looked very shaky (bar Shaw, who had a decent game). Would have been punished by a better side.

Average players all round. Poor touches, passes and just not good movement. Hoofing the ball to Lukaku and hoping for something.

Lukaku and Rashford so shit on the ball.
That's what really worries me. Our average players, yes Jose is also not an attacking mind but look at the players we have and how they play. Today was fecking poor really.

We showed the desire, there was just very little quality in our game. Shaw the best of the bunch, Pogba also solid.

Lukaku is in awful form and Sanchez looks, well, like he looked for the most of his time here. Lost out there.

What excuses from Mourinho after this shambles?Matic and Fellaini play a full 90 minutes when we needed a Mata type player to find a bit of space to make a pass. We're a football team that does not know how to move the ball around the pitch with pace, it's all about holding on to the ball and let the opposition get back into shape. It's the pits.

Midfield was the problem, there was no need for both Fellaini and Matic tonight. The ball needed to be moved quicker but Fred and Mata remained on the bench with Pereira in the stands as he made just one change.

I don’t understand him and I don’t think anyone does anymore. This can’t go on.

Barring Martial, there was nobody else on the bench who I would have brought on.

Looked like two championship sides battling it out for the last qualifying spot. This has to stop.

Surely it could not be worse if Lukaku gets subbed? The most open chance we get and he is free and he heads it over.
Some people think rashford is good but in the end all he tries is to do everything on his own and only passes when he is forced to and not when his team mates are in a better position.
It's time Valencia becomes a judge. How is that we only pass when the opposing team is back in their position and back to shape?
Jose has got to go and go now and Ed needs to clear the junk players at United. There is a lot of them here now
