Well we got the massive comeback we needed at half-time and Jose breathes again. We played with much more speed and risk in the second-half and it paid off. It was shades of years gone by at Old Trafford towards the end as we scored 3 goals in the last 20 minutes to come back from the dead.

So what does that mean for Mourinho's future? We shall have to wait and see as we now go into a two week international break before the game against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Man Utd 0:1 Newcastle - Kenedy (7')

Man Utd 0:2 Newcastle - Muto (10')

Man Utd 1:2 Newcastle - Mata (70')

Man Utd 2:2 Newcastle - Martial (76')

Man Utd 3:2 Newcastle - Sanchez (90')

Pogba dug us out of a hole today. Credit to Mourinho, his subs worked. But feck me, he brings it on himself. McTominay wouldn't play in the Championship, let alone for a team aspiring to be title challengers.

Disgraceful first half. Well done for turning it around.

Players actually showed some guts in that second half. Fair play, that was fantastic.

Players apparently downed tools yet he was saved by Martial and Pogba lol. They do care, anyone who said they don't watch that second half.

His changes eventually worked. When we attack, we are good, why the feck are we so defensive?!

This doesn’t mean anything if next game we play like zombies scared to attach.

Pogba's my POTS by a mile at this point. Great result, now where's this enthusiasm, passion and desire in all our other games?

Martial MOM - player which is hated by fans and said he didn't want to play for club, he won for Jose tonight

Imagine this team with a more attacking manager. We wouldn't have a problem scoring and wouldn't produce only in patches.

Martial and Pogba bailing out Jose is poetic. If Jose hangs on to his job, he better start them both every time. Lukaku can play on the wing until he regains some semblance of form.

This game showed why both teams are where they are.

Really, really enjoyed the comeback but I really, really hope it does not save Mourinho.

Moonred nicked my glory.

Second half was all Ferguson mentality second half. Kept on probing and eventually Newcastle wilted.

Don't think it changes much in the long run (defend like that and you'll struggle to win any of the next 5-6 games) but obviously not going to begrudge anyone the joy of coming back from 2-0 to win a game of football.

A strange game.

Great comeback. Players are still giving effort out there.

Delighted for Jose because he knows he probably doesn’t have 11 players who want to play for him.

The players that don’t want to play for him should be shipped out and not the manager. Spoilt brats and it’s completly unacceptable.

Mixed feelings. Glad we won, but would have preferred a defeat if it meant a new manager. Just prolongs the inevitable.

Blatantly obvious that Fergie gave a rousing speech at half time
